New Assembly of God CD

FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan - An upcoming Book of Acts study CD distributed by the Assemblies of God will contain several Bible study materials taken from BibleStudy.org, reported Webmaster Alan Ruth.
The denomination's National Youth Ministries Emailed the Web site in March requesting permission to include some of its Apostle Paul-related Web pages on their CD. BibleStudy.org had just added a new section dedicated to Apostle Paul's life and ministry located at www.biblestudy.org/apostlepaul/main.html.
According to Mr. Ruth, the church wrote they were "excited about the depth of information" the site housed regarding Paul and that this information was the best they've been able to find. Referrals to visit BibleStudy.org will be included on the CDs.
The BibleStudy.org Web site attracts 2.1 million visitors a year and since its 1995 debut it has averaged a 250% yearly increase in the volume of study materials requested by the public.

A WORD FROM INSPIRATIONAL FAMILY RADIO BOISE ID:
KSPD/llll1
KBXL and KSPD Background In formation
One of the goals of Lee and Beth Schafer since their marriage in 1970, was to own a radio station. Lee’s interest in radio began as a ten-year old boy when he received his amateur radio license. He later worked at the campus radio station during his college days. After enrolling in seminary in Kansas City, he worked for the Bott family at KCCV.
In 1983 their dream became a reality when they purchased KSPD am. Six years later they also acquired KBXL FM. Lee has a thirty-year background in Christian radio. Beth has been a professor of business at a Christian liberal arts college and today divides her time between the radio stations and George Fox University’s Boise campus.
The mission statement of the company is “to glorify God by providing interdenominational Christ-centered family programming.” They believe local commercial ownership affords expeditious decisions. All 24-hour stations specialize in Christian Talk programming which serve a wider listening audience through more diversified programs within the pale of Christian orthodoxy.

A Positive Response

Newhall, Calif. November 30, 2005

James Kieferdorf
3231 Rosedale Apt 3
Dallas, TX 75205

Dear James,

Just a brief response to your letter and the materials you sent. Thanks for the information on your current exposure of a cult on Christian radio (KBRT). Even though your draft is unfinished, you have made a good case. While it is not obvious in the “Born to Win” program, Ronald Dart’s ministry and theology are clearly an extension of the Armstrong cult (Herbert W. and Garner Ted). There can be no other conclusion--Ronald L Dart and his Christian Educational Ministries represent a cult. The doctrines which you list are the same as those of H. W. Armstrong. If the Worldwide Church cf God under Armstrong’s leadership was a cult so is this organization. I have a number of books in my library exposing Armstrong’s heresies ‘Walter Martin, The Kingdom of the Cults; Armstrongism, Robert L. Sumner; Armstrong’s 300 Errors Exposed, S. E. Anderson; The Armstrong Empire, Joseph Hopkins -- to name a few)

Ronald L. Dart’s tape, “Can Man 3eccme God,” makes a clear connection between his theology and that of Herbert W. Armstrong (as you mentioned, he even credits H.W.A. as the source) - On this doctrine I have enclosed a chapter from Roger ?. Campbell’s book, “Will Herbert W. Armstrong Become God?” Hell is made a joke in the presentation. The teaching that God is a family—not a orinity-—and that one is “born again” at the resurrection were taught by Armstrong. Dart characterizes the orthodox view of the believer’s position as being a ~‘spiritua1 iapdcg.” More observations could be made.

I have enclosed an article that will be interest to you:

"Ye Are God? Orthodox and Heretical Views on the Deification of Man."

Keep up the good work.
Sinerely in Christ,
Edmond

Dear Mr. Crawford,
You do not know me, but I thought it was necessary for ma to write this letter. I was a professor at Los Angeles Baptist Collage (since 1985, The Master’s Collage, Dr. John MacArthur, president) for 36 years, most of that time as chairperson of the History Department. I also taught courses dealing with cults and the occult (Religions of America). I have written a number of books and articles on these subjects. My book Cults and the Occult (rev, ad 2002) has been in print since 1974. I am also a contributing writer for the christian Research Journal. My interest in this area of study began after I becam. a Christian and Left the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Over the last few years I have been in contact with James Kieferdorf and have received much of hia research dealing with many of the splinter groups which are related to the Worldwide Church of God, founded by Herbert W. Armstrong. I would affirm that Kieferdorf is one of the most wellinformed researchers on this topic. His concern is that by airing programs of organizations, when examined rnore closely are actually a cult, people are deceived. This deception is enhanced when programs to promote their ministry are placed among wall-known evangelical ministers and ministries.
I have read James Kieferdozf’s letters to various broadcast networks and after reading further supporting documentation, I must agree with all that he writes concerning Ron L.Dart and Christian Educationa1 Ministries. I have also read a letter written by Kieferdorf to Dart, and Dart's reply, which clearly establishes him as being in the doctrinal tradition of Herbert W Armstrong (d.1998). In the past many evangelical writers included Armstrong and his WWCG in their books on cults. Kieferdorf's letter summarizes many of the Dart's non-biblical teachings.
(Thank God that the parent organization, the WWCG, moved away from Axmstrong’s theology, eventually joining the N.A.E.)
While in our country everyone has freedom of religious expression, Dart’s program does not belong on Christian radio or TV where trusting people are being mislead. I will make one final, observation. While there are a number of doctrinal differences, having Ron Dart’s program on your network is equivalent to giving acceptance to a program by the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
My prayer is that you will, investigate what Kieferdorf has written and documented and will do what is right.
Sincerely in Christ,
Edmond C Gruss.

Dear Brother Crawford:
I am writing about Ron Dart’s “Born to Win” program on your network. Mr. James Kieferdorf has written/called you and/or your organization repeatedly about this program, I believe.
Enclosed is a copy of our September-October 2005 issue of the magazine we publish (and have for
40 years), The Biblical Evangelist. Also enclosed is a photocopy of the letter I sent Dr. Wright and
David Cerullo about the Armor of God broadcast on the Inspiration Network.
The second paragraph of the letter gives my background as an authority in this particular area. The copy of our magazine, on pages 8 and 9, where after repeated and earnest entreaties by Mr. Kieferdorf were ignored, I published something to put the heat on. Shortly thereafter the Inspiration Network dropped the Armor of God broadcast.
I say kindly, not as a threat, I turst I will not need to do so in your case. I am giving Mr. Kieferdorf every opportunity to succeed as a Christian brother, but it all else fails I will do my part publicly with another item in TBE.
I preached at Kings College years ago when Percy was serving as president. And, for what it’s worth (probably not much), Wheaton College recently listed us as one of the two periodicals best representing Fundamentalism.
With every good wish for your prosperity in your Christian outreach, I am,
Sincerely yours for souls,
Robert L. Sumner

THE FALSE DOCTRINE OF RONLD L. DART "BORN TO WIN"

Knowing God: The Mystery of the Gods
"Born to Win"

Ronald L. Dart: In the last lesson we made a start on understanding the nature and being of God. In that lesson, we dealt with the apparent conflict between the Old Testament, that insists that there is only one God, and the New Testament that tells us that there are two who are called God.
In the early centuries after Christ, some theologians concluded that God was a "Trinity," that He existed as three in one. Neither the word "trinity" nor any direct suggestion of a divine Trinity is found in the Bible, but they reasoned that it had to be so. They concluded that God is one being, composed of three persons. The semantic discussions revolving around this are endless. Is God one person with three modes of existence? Is God one individual with three faces?
Everything about the doctrine of the Trinity seems designed to turn God into a mystery, an enigma that man cannot understand. And what a man cannot understand, he cannot relate to. Yet God intends that man not only know and understand Him, He intends that man relate to Him....

Free Tape offer:
The word "Trinity" is not in the pages of your Bible, so what lies behind the widely held belief a mysterious, incomprehensible, triune God? Listen as Ronald L. Dart explains why the true nature of God is much easier to understand than the mystery of a trinity.

Church of God Timeline: 1941 to 1980

1978: Garner Ted Armstrong (GTA) is marked and disfellowshipped from the WCG on June 26th. Several reasons are given for his ouster, including allegedly trying to divert church mail in attempt to steal funds for his personal use and giving the media misleading and distorted information about his father (HWA). On August 5th he gives his first message after leaving the WCG, where he discusses his expulsion and explains "his side" of the story. You can listen to Part 1 or Part 2 of this historic message, which is in MP3 format.
GTA quickly forms the Church of God, International (CGI), with headquarters in Tyler, Texas. The CGI soon becomes the largest split of the WCG and reaches a peak income of around 5 million. Other WCG splits around the early to mid-1990's, however, begin to surpass CGI in members and money.
Ronald Dart, an evangelist in the WCG, voluntarily leaves them and joins the CGI. He would become CGI's vice-president. His first message in CGI, given September 23rd, discusses his departure from the WCG.

RE: Tomorrow’s World and the Living Church of God

Dear Mr. Cerullo:
Grace and Peace to you in Christ Jesus.
I am writing to warn you of the anti-Trinitarian--and hence anti-Christian--doctrines being promoted by Dr. Roderick C. Meredith’s Living Church of God, through his Tomorrow’s World program, which you broadcast over your network. You can read the heretical nature of these teachings on Dr. Meredith’s Living Church of God and Tomorrow’s World website.
Dr. Meredith unequivocally teaches and promotes the doctrines of the late Herbert W. Armstrong.
PLEASE, for Jesus’ sake, do something about stopping this heresy from making further inroads where young, weak and/or immature Christians are influenced by it. It has no place in any Christian ministry.
I and other evangelicals would like to know whether Inspiration Network reads prospective programmer’s doctrinal statements/beliefs before allowing them air time? It is frustrating to continually see unorthodox groups mixed with fine evangelical Bible teachers.
We as believers of the cardinal doctrines of the faith, pray and urge you to remove this program from your network before many others are also mislead.
Sincerely in Christ,
James Kieferdorf

Dear Pastor Mark:
Grace and Peace to you in Christ Jesus.
am writing to warn you of the anti-Trinitarian and hence anti-Christian doctrines being promoted by the UCGAIA through their Beyond Today program which airs on the same station your program airs,
KGMS 940AM.
The UCGAIA unequivocally teaches and promotes many of the doctrines of the late Herbert W. Armstrong.
This is verified by the personal correspondence department’s email to me dated January 9, 2006.
“Dear James,
“Thank you for your interest in our doctrinal beliefs. It is apparent that you have read a great deal of material from our website. The doctrinal beliefs of the United Church of God differ from those held by evangelicals. For the most part, your assessments are accurate.
You asked if we believe and teach the same as the late Herbert W. Armstrong did. Most of the ministers and members of the United Church of God were formerly associated with the Worldwide Church of God (WCG) that was founded and led by Mr. Armstrong, One of the primary reasons for our beginning was a desire to continue the teachings and practices of the church under his lea dership
“Approximately 150 ministers formerly associated with the WCG came together to organize the United Church of God in May 1995. In the early 1990s, the leadership of the WCG departed from the church’s traditional beliefs and practices. By late 1994, they actively began to impose their change of belief upon the entire church. Unable to dissuade the leadership from this course, hundreds of elders and thousands of members left or WCG ministers excommunicated them
“You will immediately recognize the same biblical message Mr. Armstrong taught when you read our magazine and booklets. However, we should note that Mr. Armstrong himself constantly grew in knowledge. Similarly, you may well find minor changes in our teachings, reflecting better research tools that bring out previously unseen nuances. But the foundation is the same as it was in the Church of God decades ago.”
Pastor Mark, I have tried on two different occasions to warn KGMS President Mr. Doug Martin. I sent him an email dated December 28, 2005 and a seven page follow-up letter documenting many of the UCG’s unorthodox teachings on February 27, 2006. I have received no response.
My concern is that by airing programs of organizations, when examined more closely are actually a “cult,” people are deceived. This deception is enhanced when programs to promote their ministry are placed among well-known evangelical ministers and ministries.
While in our country everyone has freedom of religious expression, the UCGAIA’s program does not belong on Christian radio or TV where trusting people are being misled.
Freedom of speech protects pseudo-Christian groups’ rights to buy airtime on secular, radio and television. But the FCC agrees that Christian stations can legitimately establish criteria based on their religious beliefs that program producers must meet. There is a relationship of trust between Chrishans and Christian radio and television stations that the programs they air are produced by groups that at least meet the basic criteria of orthodoxy. Otherwise, we will soon have more Armstrong groups, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, and other counterfeit Christian organizations using Christian stations to draw unsuspecting listeners into their folds.
In closing, having the UCGAIA’s program on KGMS is equivalent to giving acceptance to a program by the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
PLEASE, for Jesus’ sake, do something about stopping this heresy from making further inroads where young, weak and/or immature Christians are influenced by it. It has no place in any Christian ministry.
My prayer is that Doug Martin will investigate what I have written and documented and remove Beyond Today from KGMSs programming schedule before many others are misled.
Very respectfully in Christ,
James Kieferdorf
