The Twenty First Century Church Of Confusion

Before we completed this part of the newsletter we listened to an audio tape by an evangelist which sent us into the Bible once again to keep our truth in tact. What we find is that whatever is popular at the moment will somehow have to be woven into the biblical fabric and we get a whole new and interesting layer of "Gospel." It is very easy to go for that temptation. When we first came out of a cult we thought we were the only ones who knew the truth. It the same for a mother delivering her first baby. She feels that she is the only one who has had a baby.

This evangelist believes that there is a possibility that UFO's have something to do with fallen angels [sons of God or Nephilim - the fallen ones] that live in another dimension. One word "they" that doesn't have a subject in Daniel might mean that these angels who were here before the flood and had children with humans before the flood, maybe coming back before the tribulation to do the same. He surmises on, that the clay mentioned in Daniel in connection with the toes that are of iron and clay, may be those fallen angels or their descendants. Being out of Mormonism where the women believe that there are spirits in heaven waiting to inhabit bodies. Mormons have to have as many babies as possible to accommodate them, so they can become gods like Adam. My mind was ready to take the scenario this evangelist was setting up a step further.

What has been on our plate these last couple of weeks, nothing but cloning and stem cell research.One of the main characters in this drama is Brigitte Boisselier, a scientist. For Brigitte, cloning a human being isn't just good science it's a religious imperative. As a trained chemist and a bishop of a sect that believes scientists from another planet created all life on Earth, Boisselier and other followers of the "Raelian" religion say cloning is key to humanity's future. Despite warnings from scientists who say such practices are fraught with potential health risks, some Raelians have built a secret U.S. laboratory and vowed to create the first human clone this year. They also believe the feds have no legal right to stop them. She says now that 200 women are ready to be impregnated with cloned embryo. She also stated that there are many waiting to do it.

With doctorates from France and Texas, Boisselier, 44, was teaching at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., near Syracuse. In 1993, she joined the Quebec-based Raelian cult. Today, she is a bishop in the cult, which believes the human race originated as clones of an advanced alien species. Its leader, French racing car driver and journalist Claude Vorilhon, who calls himself Rael, claims he learned this when he boarded a UFO in France in 1973.

Rael has set up headquarters at a science fiction theme park called UFO Land outside Montreal. The Raelian movement says it has 50,000 members worldwide, who, according to its Web site, must pay 13 per cent of their yearly income to the cult and take part in unusual sexual practices -- such as being made to mate with someone of the same sex to prove one's sexual orientation.

Boisselier became science director of Rael's company, Clonaid, whose aim is to charge $200,000 to clone any person who can pay. She claims hundreds of infertile couples, homosexuals and others have asked her to clone them. Around August 2000, nearly a year after Andrew's death, Boisselier and Hunt went into a cloning business of their own. Hunt says he invested $500,000 to set up a secret, new company called Bioserv Inc., which they did not register with the West Virginia authorities. Hunt chose Nitro, an obscure town named after nitroglycerine since it was founded during the Second World War to make explosives.(London Times 8.12.2001)

The Raelian Philosophy states: "We came from another solar system and created all life on earth scientifically, including man in our image.... You mistook us for gods... We loved you as our own children and sent you wisdom through the Prophets... You distorted our teaching and used it to fight... Now that you can understand who we are, we would like to establish contact at an official embassy."

Raelian's literal translation of the word Elohim does not signify God but : " Those who came from the sky " A very tight link ties the Extra-Terrestrials to Humanity. It was from this contact that Claude Vorilhon, named " RAEL " by this Extra-Terrestrial, was to speak about the Message which was given to him throughout all the continents and to explain the very tight link which ties this Extra-Terrestrial's civilization to ours since the earliest of times on earth.

The Raelian's were not the only ones who invaded us. We recently ordered a used book from Amazon Z-shop and received the following flyer with the book. "... Who We Are? While waiting for the Mothership to take us home, we provide useful information to other aliens stranded on this planet. Our business started in 1993 in Rachel, Nevada, near the secret Area 51 military base. We sold books on UFOs and secret aircraft, and provided guidance to journalists and other visitors who wanted to see the "nonexistent" base.

In the mid-1990s, Larry King, ABC News, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and every form of ... tabloid media visited us at our Research Center. We also met a number of "earthbound extraterrestrials" - entities in human form who believe they come from another planet. Some of these E.T.s wanted to break into the secret base to catch the next spaceship home. We felt great sympathy for these lost souls, and we came to realize that we, too, do not feel quite at home on this planet. Since then, we have expanded our book offerings to psychology, travel, history, and other non-fiction topics, to better assist our fellow extraterrestrials who have no choice but to live here. This place is 2 1/2 hours from Las Vegas in Rachel, Nevada. The store is known as Area 51 Research Center.

Back to the Bible. This is one area we have no expertise and the following is our conclusion from a biblical perspective about UFOs. The UFO agenda, it is everywhere and many people seem to believe that Aliens exist. We believe that the world is being readied for the final act. A lot of people are suddenly going to disappear when the Rapture occurs. The world will have to explain in a readily acceptable manner where these people went. The UFO concept is of course another cult causing major confusion.

We believe that the manifestations that are happening in stadiums, churches, why not in minds and in the sky induced by the power of suggestion or spirits. People are experiencing levitation today in churches why wouldn't they manifest outdoors. With the help of too much television and too many movies suggestion is easy to accomplish. A recent survey reported a popularity for UFO websites second to pornography. (1) People need to realize what the effect of watching television is. The brain accepts what it sees as presented as reality. Becoming part of a cult has the same effect. Members believe what they are being told and it becomes their reality even though it is twisted from the truth. There is something in the UFO phenomena that turns the individual on, just as in a cult. There is something that attracts the person into it. Human beings seem to be attracted to the mysterious, unknown even if it doesn't really exist. It allows our imagination play and God had something to say about that in 2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

This verse points to the fact that our imaginations are our enemy and could easily become our terror. Imagine driving down a lonely road at night and your imagination brings E.T. to mind to a point where E.T. becomes real and you are alone in the car. I believe it would cause me to have a panic attack immediately if I were not a believer or even a lukewarm believer with waffling faith. How would I know for sure if this reptile is friendly or not? Films often tie betrayal into episodes so the mind cannot truly interpret what this thing is going to do. It can't read the emotions of this E.T. on a lonely, dark road. We believe that Satan wants us to thrive on fear. He has certainly built it into our environment in many ways.

One letter writer stated that Aliens Among Us reminds him of evangelicals who have allowed large numbers of people in the last two generations to drift into New Age philosophy, altered realities and Eastern religions and they still remain blind to the truth. He believes they are spiritually hungry.

Why would a spiritually hungry person be looking to life on other planets to be satisfied? The imagination in a person was created by what was put into the mind. A child has to learn every word, every idea, there is nothing in a child's mind when they are born. Babies only react to internal and external stimuli.

Why is the world putting so much emphasis on trashing people's minds with Satanic material of one kind or another. Even children's funnies turned out to be infiltrated with negative molding of characteristics such as passivity, lust for things, disobedience to parents, alienating behavior within the family unit causing loneliness, aggressive behavior patterns and disrespect toward others. These kinds of social skills do not beget happy parents and the children begin to mistrust their environment. To take the place of the family members the media creates substitutes like aliens, robbot talking animals, angels, Pokemon, Harry Potter and many other characters.

The mind works by association. My mother, for instance, was very clever. She associated herself in my mind with making beds. If there was one thing she wanted us to learn, it was to be able to make a good bed. I think about her every time I make my bed. Put that scenario in the scheme of having a substitute relationship with an Alien or E.T or Pokemons.. If mother has gotten into a fight with her child, that fight could very easily be transferred to the Alien or E.T. causing mistrust now between the child and the Alien or E.T..

Now back to the lonely road, the darkness, aloneness and the appearance of an imaginary E.T. could easily trigger fear mode that could end up in terror that could be so frightening that the person could have an out of body experience at which point just about anything could happen.

The person is out of control. "They are abducted," is not a possibility in the physical but is a possibility in their imagination. What has happened is that the soulish part or spirit (fleshly spirit) is taking a trip into the spirit realm. That spirit part re-enters the body with a story which is most likely out of their own imagination because God states that we cannot comprehend the spirit world. How could we then discuss it or write about it. Job 37:5 "God thundereth marvelously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend." Job 9:5 again speaking of God who is Spirit: "Which removeth the mountains, and they know not:" Job. 9:10,11 "Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not."

Scientologists use this method of scaring their subjects after a lengthy process of building complete trust between the auditor and the subject. When that trust is established the auditor creates a situation in the subjects mind that terrifies the individual being processed into leaving his or her body and the auditor then has complete control over this body and indoctrinates the mind with whatever the sales pitch is that the Scientologist wants this person to run with. Because the spirit is temporarily out of the body there is no censorship on the subject's part.(2)

The episode at Columbine High School, where so many young lives were taken down, was due to that kind of phenomena. The two boys were recreating a movie. In their minds the movie became the reality and reality they thought was just imagination. They got confused with what was life and what was imagination.

The word imagination is in the Bible: Jeremiah 3 is about unfaithfulness (in this case Israel) of mankind and what will happen when Jesus returns to Jerusalem: 3:17 "At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the Lord; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart." In this case "imagination" is a state of mind. Strong's Concordance - Hebrew #8307 Sheriruth; this femine noun has its origin in 8324. It is something which is twisted; firmness, strength, obstinacy, obduration, stubbornness of heart, imagination = lust. The word occurs 10 times in the O.T..

The Aramaic counterpart to the Hebrew root means "to be hard" or "to be firm." The people refused to respond to God's warning. In the Greek Lexical, imagination is #1271 Dianoia: understanding, intellect, intellectual faculty, mind, an operation of understanding. thought, imagination, see noeo (3539); from nous (3563) the mind. To perceive with thought coming into consciousness as distinct from the perception of senses. To mark, understand, apprehend, discern... Noeo denotes independent action of the mind or the heart, it means to understand, think and reflect. Thus nous, mind, is the organ of the spirit and at the same time a function of the heart.

Even though Aliens feel familiar and safe they could become monsters in a flash and are not good idea for a steady diet of entertainment. We are very careful with what we allow into our minds, visually especially. Why would pornography be a precursor to homosexuality if there is no effect from watching it?

Let us not forget the evangelist who taught that clay could be the fallen angels. With all the information that is beginning to be public it is easy to surmise that. We went to the Bible once again. God is a rewarder. The toes are made of iron and clay. Who is the clay that causes the final implosion of the world system. The iron [Roman Empire] and the clay [?] don't mingle.

"And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of the potters's clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they??[this "they" is what the evangelist taught maybe fallen angels's descendants] shall mingle themselves with the seed of men [ the evangelist may be right?] but they shall not cleave one to another even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all the kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands [re: Jesus Christ]. and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain and the interpretation thereof sure."

The evangelist referred to "they" being falllen angel's descendants because Jesus said it will be as it was in the days of Noah and "they mingled themselves with the seed of men..." What is strange is that gold down to iron is metal and clay is not. We use a key study Bible which uses Lexical explanations in Greek and Hebrew. There is no additional explanation for clay in the Concordance or the Lexical. In describing the king from head to toe, God is going from gold [the head of the king] being the purest down to clay [dirt] [to his toes] which is the least.

The Bible states in Romans 9:21-24: "Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor? What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy [re: believers], which he had afore prepared unto glory. Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles [the bride of Christ, the Church]?"

Here we have it, God's powerful answer to who the clay is. These verses refer to the Rapture having taken place before the wrath and the clay that is left are the vessels fitted for destruction: the false church. Antichrist and the False Prophet [the Vatican is a political seat] will be equally empowered by the Dragon. That is what we are going to stick with until we see more transpire. What we have a problem with in that Scripture interpretation by the evangelist is that the Holy Spirit doesn't make it a habit of leaving people hang with a few unexplained words without interpretation somewhere. Private interpretation is forbidden. The Bible also states that we are not to add to it and that it is the only truth available.

Gay ordinations have dominated the debates prior to this election. Bishop Mark S. Hanson made it by 34 votes out of over a thousand votes with a national membership of 5.1 million, Chicago-based. It ranks fifth among U.S. Protestants. It will be a six-year term. Hanson's synod petitioned the assembly to allow ordination of actively gay clergy and asked the national church council to allow an exception to ordain Anita Hill, who has a lesbian partner and led a gay and lesbian ministry for two decades in St. Paul. She is no relation to "the" Anita Hill. Another sword through the church. Many members are not rejoicing and will probably find themselves having to leave their congregations. (3)

"This way of speaking fast and loud, Glory picked up in the U.S.A." states a former Lutheran who married a Pentecostal musician. "I am a 100 percent evangelist," Backman says. "I love campaign preaching, and signs and wonders." Floored in Helsinki: Backman wants to reach her nation - and the world. (4)

Obviously an Interfaith event if there ever was one: Jordan's King Abdullah urges evangelicals to seek Middle East Peace at a meeting hosted by Benny Hinn in Washington D.C. where some 80 leaders whom the Arab monarch called "men and women of peace," he said, "Arabs need to hear your voice.".. Pastor David Yonggi Cho from Seoul, South Korea; TBN's Paul Crouch Jr. and pastors John Hagee, Marilyn Hickey, Billy Joe Daugherty were among those who attended.. Hinn told the group that evangelicals had "put one arm around the Jews in Israel, and now it was time to put the other arm around the Arabs since they are God's children, too." King Abdullah was in Washington D.C. to talk about a free trade agreement to Congress. (5)

There are two blatant heresies in this advertisement: 1) Does the Holy Spirit need to be activated? 2) Are Christians supposed to kick the devil's butt? "Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities, Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." (Jude 1:8-10) In a Kim Clement Concert in 1997 on TBN

Kim takes his crowd to a higher level. He chanted: "God be better", "We want a greater word", "we want to act on unaccountable impulse", " a radical revelation". Addressing his mostly female audience, he chants over and over: "I'm going to provide for you in a very special way.. "; "I'm giving you the spirit of the Lord .. without reasoning or intellect... " "Here is the mind of the spirit.. exclusive religions are pontificated garbage.. " Chanting: "Division Babylon division .. we removed the spirit of division [he said the God created division at Babylon]" He kept repeating rhymes with "stupidity" such as stupidity of "when Jesus is coming back." He states the opposite of what Scripture teaches. He wants people to be radical. "Prophets bring images that burn.. "Break the corruption of religion!"

"Plunge into the slums of the heart and meet Jesus." "Go to the higher places - Jesus dwells in the slums of the heart. Kim related that he wasn't happy in church and he told God that isn't himself as a preacher and God made him Kim Clement. [The way he portrays himself is God's fault in other words.] Still chanting: "There is a message in my madness. If you don't accept me you have lost your liberty!"

The crowd goes into a frenzy. Kim shouts: "Lift your hands so you can have an expression of power!" The crowd goes wild and goes into a trance-like state. "He will empty the cup of righteousness and I will restore restoration in your cup that is no longer filled." He screams: "There is no sacrifice! Hold up your cup! .. I will bring down your pulpit! New wine.. restoration has begun. The spirit has broken the old wineskin. Now I fill you with new wine! Pentagrams come from the ceiling lights on stage and over the crowd. Kim tells them: "You are holy!"

To the left side of the stage, under red light in semi darkness stands Jan Crouch in black with a long blond wig flowing down her back, her face facing the ceiling with her up in the air clasping her son's hands to form a pyramid. Clement shouts: "Blocking out, says the Lord!" "The fire of the Lord is touching your lips - Don't' worry about what people think!" "Receive it, come on! Receive it, come on!" Chanting and dancing in semi darkness with red light flowing from the ceiling on Jan's side of the stage. "A Break through for you America! Disregard yesterday. I'm raising warriors - Bring down pulpits - I'll bring down an abundance of rain!"

Kim begins to address Jan Crouch in front of him now with her hands still up and a distorted face facing the ceiling. He states: "The spirit is going to do a miracle.. The spirit tried to rip your soul to pieces... I will restore you, I will raise you up greater in 2000... Your cup shall be a masterpiece." Jan goes down to her knees and finally goes down flat on her back and laid there for quite a while. "I'll do a miracle in your household! Old is shattered - An open vision is coming to you! Religion is broken right now!" His voices changes and he sings in a high voice!"

The crowed is about the go to another high frenzy - trance- Kim goes on his knees and prays the Lord's prayer partially.. He left out "lead us not into temptation," and tells his audience to lift your hands, "this is your day" . Frenzy begins again.. I noticed the back of the stage, it looked like someone on a throne, with a head like a sun. "This is your day , we will rejoice in it!"

A back musician dressed in red and black, plays the guitar and sings: "The spirit likes to move the devil right here under my shoes!" The musician looks like a devil himself. The crowd goes into a frenzy and Pentagrams appear from the ceiling lights on stage. He says," Demonic spirits are in turmoil right now. Don't miss your hour of visitation. On TBN the background on their program "Behind The Scenes" looks like the "Thousand Points of Light" in one of their studios. TBN June 3, 2001 during TBN's drive for donations they called satellites angels. Did you know that CEO's will turn to "Angels" - individual investors who have no professional affiliation with institutional or venture capitalists - for funding which can be a godsend or death to the enterprise (6). TBN covered their angels: satellites with the blood of Jesus. They invited the Holy Spirit to come and anoint everyone's pocketbooks in the name of Jesus. We are going to burn your debts. A caller from Germany supposedly called and said that we have debts too and the reply was: "we'll burn them too," and Schambach proceeded to call the debts of all countries welcome to be burned. In front of him was a debt burning altar.

"We got the satellites just in time to get these people out of debt," said Schambach. "People are sending their debts hundreds of thousands of dollars." "A person owing $1 million Swedish crowns of debt sent in a $2,000 donation that they don't have, suggesting to their audience, "send it even if you have mindboggling debt ." Schambach used Jubilee Scriptures and said that in the New Testament it is Jubilee every day." Last night, August 9, 2001, Paul proclaimed that George Bush's and John Ashcroft's name are in the Biblical code which is supposed to be the whole creation history from beginning to end. TBN and company are counting on listener's biblical illiteracy to get money for their escapades. God will hold Schambach and people who respond to these lies accountable. There is a judgment for all people of the world.

Not too long ago we wrote about Paul Crouch's comment that Jesus is a Communist. On the following graphic TBN "Last year, Paul was warmly welcomed by the ambassador of China. Recently, Mr. Chen Ligang, Counselor for the Embassy of China [shaking hands], and Mr. Hu Yongtao, First Secretary, visited Trinity Christian Center International to make arrangements for China's Minister of Religion to visit our studios in California. The door remains OPEN for a possible exchange of cultural TV programs - please continue to PRAY! God forbid!!

Today August 14, 2001 on "Behind the Scenes" they said that it was prophesied that they will be on the Mount of Olives during the beginning of the Tribulation to film everything. They are soliciting people to come with them to Israel on Rosh Hashanah. Benny Hinn just got back from Malta, Italy

The Pentecostals staged a 50-hour vigil in Atlanta to end racial divisions. Thousands of black and white Pentecostals met in March in a Baptist church in Atlanta to repent for the racism and denominational exclusivity that has fractures their movements for decades. Pat Robertson and Thomas Trask were there. Denominational differences between Pentecostals and Southern Baptist Convention was discussed and the SBC congregation came forward the second night to pray for their congregation which opposes Pentecostal doctrines. Ron Phillips of Chattanooga, Tenn., prophesied that God was about to pour out revival on Baptists. "Release the baptism of the Holy Spirit right now. Let the river of God loose now," Phillips prayed. He then laid hands on Bishop Eddie L. Long and declared: "You will lead black Baptists and Anglo Baptists, I have called you and raised you up as a miracle church, and I will call my Baptist children back to the power of the Holy Spirit." Long fell to the floor and lay there for more than 15 minutes before a group of men. The following night he told the congregation that he proudly wears the label of "Bapticostal," noting that he was baptized in the Holy Spirit in the 1980s at a crusade led by evangelist Jimmy Swaggart. Another tiennial conference focused attention on the growth of the Pentecostal movement since 1906. Leaders convened near their birth place "Azusa Street". Nearly 2,200 delegates from 42 countries gathered and held their 19th Pentecostal World Conference (PWC) in Los Angeles. "We don't need another conference. What we need is another confrontation with the Holy Ghost," Chairman Thomas E. Trask told the delegates during the opening service. Crossing racial, gender and denominational barriers, conferencegoers representing the Church of God, Church of God in Christ, Assemblies of God, Church of the Foursquare Gospel, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church and a host of independent churches attended the three-day event.

David Yonggi Cho, pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, South Korea, urged American churches to release women in ministry. "God is using women for the growth of the church," Cho said. Bishop Barbara Amos, pastor of Faith Deliverance Christian Center urged listeners to avoid discrimination in ministry. In the early days the Los Angeles Times reported on the Azusa Street Revival with harsh criticism, calling the revival a "new sect of fanatics breaking loose." The paper reversed its stance nearly a century later and now credits Pentecostals "with reshaping global Christianity."

The article went on to describe multi million dollar ministries of Bishop Charles Blake [just completed a approx. $65 million Cathedral in LA], Fred Price, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer whose 11,000 member church recently purchased the Forum, former home of the Los Angeles Lakers. The group at the conference mapped out strategies to win the masses to Christ. Trask, who general superintendent of the Assemblies of God, was re-elected to a second term as chairman of the PWC. (8)

Sweden's three largest denominations - Lutheran, Roman Catholic and Congregationalists as well as "Christian gay" pressure groups favor a bill which threatens freedom of speech. Swedish gay-rights bill threatens religious freedom. The broader effect of the proposed legislation could open the door to criminalizing the religious views of Christians, Jews and Muslims. Jesus was portrayed as gay in the National Cathedral in Uppsala in 1998. (9)

Visiting mosque, pope calls for unity in Damascus, Syria. John Paul II became the first pope to enter a mosque Sunday May 7, 2001, calling for brotherhood between "Christians" and Muslims and stepping across a sensitive line in his campaign for better relations among different faiths. Vatican and Syrian flags decorated the Omayyad Mosque.

Papal aides quoted John Paul as telling Sheik Ahmad Kuftaro, "I can say I am very happy." The visit was also a natural step in John Paul's longtime campaign to heal the wounds separating Christians, Muslims and Jews.

The pope called upon Mideast leaders to end the regions destructive conflict and expressed sorrow for Palestinians. Assad told the pope: "we feel that in your prayers, when you recall the agony of Jesus, you will remember the people of Golan [Heights] and Palestine who are tormented. On Saturday, Assad told the pope that Israel is slaughtering Palestinians, occupying Arab lands, attacking Muslims and Christian religious sites, and trying "to kill all the principles of divine faiths with the same mentality in which they betrayed Jesus." John Paul's spokesman, Joaquin Navarro-Valls, said Sunday that "the pope will absolutely not intervene." He added that the church and John Paul both have spoken out against anti Semitism "on numerous occasions." In Los Angeles, Rabbi Marvin Hier, dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said Assad's comments showed that Syria had no interest in Middle East peace... he continues the path of his father by offering up almost a daily menu of hate and bigotry." (10)

John Paul II told participants in a meeting with representatives of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC) that the commitment to ecumenical dialogue is "irrevocable". This comment was in the wake of a Vatican document arguing that it is the only true church. It was the first encounter between the Vatican and non-Roman Catholics since the publication in early September of a controversial document, Dominus Iesus, that seemed to cast doubt on the status of Anglican and Protestant churches. The declaration brought strong reactions because it's assertion that only the Roman Catholic Church fully represents the "one holy, Catholic and apostolic church," while recognizing other churches as "ecclesial communities." (11)

Back at the castle in Rome: Cardinals blasts the Catholic Church's hierarchy. While slogans including "a globalization of holiness" dominated the Vatican's official, filtered accounts of speeches, two Vatican officials and at least six other cardinals rose in the Synod Hall to criticize the way the church is run. Some of them circumvented Vatican's secrecy by e-mailing their speeches to reporters... The Belgian was scathing of peers who, he said, hold their tongue so they can get promoted... The cardinals want decentralization, shared policy-making. It was supposed to happen with Vatican II but their legislative power went back to Rome, which is an absolute monarchy.. Change is highly unlikely under John Paul in his 22 nd year.(12)

Archbishop married by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon in spite of warnings from the Vatican. "A Roman Catholic archbishop who says God wants him and the Catholic Church to shed the celibacy rule married a physician Sunday in a group wedding conducted by Rev. Sun Myung Moon. Milingo, the groom is 71, the chosen by Rev. Moon is 43 of South Korea. The newlyweds plan to move to Africa. The archbishop said that he had no desire to leave the Catholic church and that "we are entering an era when every man and woman is called to fulfill his or her original purpose to reflect God's image." (13)

The Archbishop's Wife Vows Hunger Strike if she can't see him, reads the headline. The wife.. pleaded tearfully Saturday to be allowed to see her husband.. Maria Sung suggested the church was holding her husband, Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, against his will after he met with the pope and Vatican officials in an effort to open a dialogue and avert his excommunication.

Milingo, a Zambian, and his wife traveled to Italy to discuss reasons for getting married... "After the lamentable events to which he was protagonist, he has decided to take a period of reflection and prayer in view of his reconciliation," the statement said.. Maria said the two were married "in front of God." [at Rev. Sun Myung Moon's church]. (14)

Rick Joyner was Featured in Charisma Magazine. A reader of Charisma wrote: "I was grieved by your article on Rick Joyner ("God's Lightening Rod" by Cedric Harmon, April). To attack Joyner because he missed it on a certain prophecy and belongs to the Knights of Malta is crazy. We all miss the mark from time to time. Your article had an obvious slant against this man of God. Thanks, Charisma, for giving the church another black eye."

Tonight Benny Hinn said he just got back from Malta. He said with pride that he had an audience of 7,000 with lots of Catholic nuns. Wonder if that is the only reason he was in Malta.

Another reader wrote: "The feature on Rick Joyner was unfair in that it accentuated the controversial aspects of his ministry while neglecting to point out his record of solid biblical teaching. He does not come across as arrogant or sensationalistic.." Another stated: "Deuteronomy 18:22 says, "When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass.. the prophet has spoken it presumptuously." NKJV).

The passing of time ultimately validates the message and integrity of the prophet. But few people wait to see if prophecies come to pass." "Francis Frangipane, who was quoted in your [Charisma] report on Rick Joyner, seemed to dodge the point about the Old Testament standards for prophets. Because alleged prophets claim that God speaks through them, there is zero room for error. Christ cannot lie, nor will He cause confusion in the church. So when a modern-day prophet blows it, He makes the God who spoke through him a liar." "Joyner claims to have the gift of prophecy. But if he sees the Bible as complete authority, shouldn't he follow biblical guidelines? No man has the right to claim he has a revelation from God when it doesn't come to pass. And when it doesn't, these "prophets" say people misunderstood what was said." "Integrity is critical for a prophet."

A Three-year odyssey will end today when a Pentecostal congregation in Detroit and its pastor take the remarkable step of joining the Catholic church. After years of study and some agonizing disagreements, the Rev. Alex Jones and the 64 remaining members of his Marantha Christian Church will give up their old religious affiliation to become lay members of St. Suzanne Catholic Church in Detroit.

"No one can recall anything like this ever happening." Archdiocese of Detroit spokes Ned McGrath said Friday. Joining the Catholic Church feels like returning to a spiritual home, said James. He is studying at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit toward ordination as a Catholic deacon, which would allow him to preach at mass.

The spiritual journey began in 1998, when Jones' church had 200 members and they asked him to teach a class about ancient Christianity. Jones immersed himself in Christian history. As Jones' studies continued, "I discovered the word 'tradition'. All my life I'd been taught that was a bad word, but the early Christians were very concerned about this." Soon, he changed the style of worship at Maranatha to include a Eucharist, modified after a traditional Catholic mass. That sparked disagreement and members began leaving, until Jones was left with the 64 people who began Catholic studies last year. [TBC: To the spiritual harm of his flock, this shepherd turned to Catholic "history," "tradition," and "the Eucharist," rather than to the Bible.] (15)

Remember this? This is the building in Clearwater, FLorida that caught a lot of attention because the Virgin Mary is permanently fixed on this building's windows and it has become a shrine for Catholics.

Farrakhan wins the fight to preach in Great Britain. Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan won a key battle in his 15-year fight for the right to preach in Britain, as a judge ordered the government to grant him a visa. The Home Office, Britain's equivalent of the U.S. Justice Department, says it has kept Farrakhan out "to defend the social cohesion and racial harmony of this country."

Explaining the refusal to issue a visa last year, then - Home Secretary Jack Straw said that Farrakhan's "anti-Semitic and racially divisive view" might lead to disorder. The High Court, London's trial-level court, said the ban cannot continue, no reason given. The British office of the Nation of Islam said that its court papers had invoked the European Convention on Human Rights, which prohibits governments from punishing people for their political views.

This "European bill of rights" was incorporated into the British law, last year which might explain Farrakhan's success. (16)

For some reason pentagrams were one of the subjects for in this newsletter. The election is long gone. Mrs. Shirley Dobson was written about in Charisma May 2001 p.100. She is the national director of the "The National Day of Prayer celebrated for the 50th time in Washington, DC. 2 million people will be praying for the nation with 365 churches for a 24 hour period. Turning this nation back to its godly heritage was the purpose behind two of the largest Christian prayer gatherings ever to assemble on the Mall in Washington. Promise Keeper's Stand in the Gap in 1997 and the CALLDC event in September 2000 with its follow-up 40-day fast,.. "because God has waited for such a long time for the emerging church.." Notice a very visible pentagram on Mrs. Dobon's scalf.

Shirley's husband James Dobson is written about in the book: James Dobson's Gospel of Self-Esteem of Psychology" by Martin and Deidre Bobgan. Because of James Dobson's tremendous influence in brining psychology and self-esteem teachings into the church, the Bobgans examine his work from both a biblical and scientific point of view.

This book clearly demonstrates that some of Dobson's basic assumptions and many of his specific teachings originated from secular psychological theorists whose opinions are based on godless foundations. Self-esteem and psychology are the two major thrusts of his ministry that too often supersede sin, salvation, and sanctification. They are another gospel. Dobson's 'Focus on the Family' have a number of different ministries and they reported over $160 million annual to the IRS in the late 1990s. (18) Dobson just stated (CNN 8.12.01) that he is delighted about the President's "stem cell research" decision. He said that he and his constituents were praying about it. This whole issue will drive another sword through the church. It will split once again over this issue.

During the discussions of the stem cell decision President Bush made on August 10, 2001 it came out that Dr. Dobson approved of the decision and Chuck Colson's represetative called it a glass half full and half empty. He seemed to be on the side of research. Christianity Today, Billy Graham's representatives and Rev. Falwell were for the research. Between Pat Robertson supporting forced abortion in China, what happened to the "church?" Next we found out that President Bush's church, the United Methodist Church is "pro choice"?? [UM has another problem which relates to GWB. They don't condone anti Masonic sentiments. Pastors who did , found themselves fired or relocated (19)]. No wonder the President waffled. It should have been yes or no. That is what the Bible recommends. Christianity is black and white not gray. $250 million tax money is already pored into this research in 2001. On August 10, 2001 the Department of Health and Human Services directed by Tommy Thompson stated that there are 60 cell lines, 30 of these are in foreign countries [China is one] and they are all held and patented by private companies who create embryos for research for scientific evidence.

The speakers, Dr. Lana Skirboll, Dr. Audey Penn, Dr. Ruth Kirschstein stated: The stem cells were reviewed and have met the four criteria [1 being consent from the mother and 1 being no monetary inducement] to be certified for research with government funding. The $250 million tax dollars is already going to certified stem cells if they can get the private companies to release them to "Grant" applicants who want to research [A government rule: If they don't spend the money allotted, it will not be budgeted for next year].

They hope for many applicants for the grant money to do basic research on probably more like 30 stem cells?? Isn't there a problem already with the numbers? "One stem cell line out of one embryo, they said. One mature female has to create an ovum which is fetched from her womb and fertilized outside the womb, one stem cell line is created 5 days after fertilization. The stem cells are removed, the embryo dies and research begins. She said that cumulus cells are not cultured." It is crucial to pre-screen embryo for abnormalities which has not been perfected and reprogramming cells is the basic problem.

Brigitte Boisselier, director of Clonaid, sitting in front of a wall backdrop featuring a number pyramid designs, stated that it took 27 embryos to get one pregnancy [in animals. According to the group interviewed they have not done humans yet.]. They plan to reprogram the 30,000 genes that are involved in each human being. She said: "we'll be able use your genes they way you want them and give you what you want."

In Japan, eight cows were cloned. Four died right after birth. The success rate in invitro pregnancies is is 32%. The recent 7 baby delivery was an invitro pregnancy. Another interesting facet that came up today: a child is entitled to the father's Social Security if the father dies. If they know who the sperm invitro is, implantees are making the government responsible for entitlement for the child from the natural father's benefits. They sure are getting into a can of worms. This will be another incentive to get rid of Social Security.

In stem cell research, one of the criteria for certification is that the female gave consent that her ovum could be used for research. Her name is [organ] donor [only we don't know what the organ will be that she is donating] and we don't know how much someone will be paying for this human living "thing" to get an implant. Only the people who have access to much money will be participating.

Someone in the audience asked the $60,000 question. "What can we expect at this point, there are many waiting for cures?" "Now it will be only basic research. All we know at this point is how the egg is fertilized. We have no idea if anything will come of this research. We have to prove now that we will need more stem cells to work with. Another called in with a "what if" "what if there is a breakthrough for diabetes for instance, wouldn't they need an unlimited number of stem cells?

This doctrine was strongly supported for many years in the LDS temple ritual where we learned that such pastors as these were hirelings of Lucifer and taught "the Orthodox religion" for him. That orthodoxy included salvation by grace and a god who is spirit, not an exalted man, the very doctrines upon which these local pastors rest their faith.

Why would Mormons want any part of these organizations filled with pastors whom they believe have absolutely no authority to act in the name of God? Pastors, including even women, who do not have the authority to baptize people or bless the communion table because they do not hold the LDS priesthood? Obviously, the Mormons haven't changed a single doctrine, or repented of a single condemnation of the "rest" of Christendom. There is some other motive than joining with other "pastors" in fellowship.

The answer is simple: they are on a campaign to infiltrate and disarm the Christian church. Remember, while they are sitting in these pastor's meetings, the 50,000 + missionaries are going door-to-door seeking to steel the flock while the shepherd is having lunch with the wolf. (20)

Vatican Says Mormons are not Christians. The Roman Catholic Church declared that Mormon converts have to be rebaptized, is a setback to the Mormon church's effort to characterize itself as a Christian denomination. The Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith declared that baptisms in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are "not the baptism that Christ instituted."

The ruling was a departure from the Catholic Church's usual practice of recognizing the baptisms of converts from most other churches. The Vatican held that the Mormon view of the nature of God is too different from Catholicism.. The United Methodist Church took a similar stand. (21)

Maybe that is why researchers of BYU are at the Vatican? Unraveling Records of the past, members of an ancient Syriac Christian group in the Middle East are looking far to the west for the preservation of some of their most precious religious texts - to scholars at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. That same BYU group is serving Islamic scholars by translating selected works of Muslim philosophers. BYU is making available the largest library of digital images of the Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient documents discovered in caves near the Dead Sea in 1947. BYU researchers [Mormons] work in a library in the Vatican as part of their examination and translation of ancient scriptural text. (22)

Years after Ellis Island was abandoned, concern over decay of the landmark led to the inclusion of the island as part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument in 1965. In 1985 the foundation asked the LDS Church for assistance in making the immigrant records of Ellis Island more accessible to the public... The members [volunteered] more than 5 million hours during seven years to extract records from ship passenger lists and entered them into databases.. In compliance with the request they were made available on Internet: http://www.ellisislandrecords.org.. (23) We don't know if it is free or not. Most of those services charge a fee.

A quote from Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Mormon Church (Scripture Reading and Revelation, Ensign, January 1995, p. 7) "For us, the scriptures are not the ultimate source of knowledge, but what precedes the ultimate source. The ultimate knowledge comes by revelation... We encourage everyone to make careful study of the scriptures [the Book of Mormon / KJV Bible] and of the prophetic teachings concerning them and to prayerfully seek personal revelation to know their meaning for themselves." After you read the Book of Mormon you will get a burning in the bosom because they told you to expect that. The method is the same that Benny Hinn uses, he tells you exactly what is going to happen so you know what to do when he does it. It's the power of suggestion. It works for Mormons as well.

"Unfortunately many people, including Christians, are too quick to defend those who are placing their eternity in the hands of another Jesus and another gospel," writes Susanna Cancassi. "The finger of blame can be pointed in a number of directions, among them, the ecumenism infiltrating the Church today. Too many messages from today's pulpits are communicating that "all roads to God," or "as long as you name the name of Jesus you are assured of salvation and a home with the Lord for all eternity." "Let's put doctrine aside and just love everybody" is what they say. Well, if we insist on putting doctrine aside, our faith is as stable as a house of cards.

"But if we let our emotions take over and put truth aside, not only are we fooling ourselves, but we are giving those outside of faith in Jesus Christ a hope that the Bible says they do not have. Far too many evangelical leaders have fallen prey to this spirit of unity. They send mixed messages not only to evangelicals who once considered their teaching biblically sound, but also to leaders of other religions. They look like compromising fence-straddlers whose only interest is a handshake and a photo-op.

"The second point of blame must be placed on us, individuals who profess the name of Christ. Our own laziness has allowed a good bit of what is going on within Evangelicalism to happen. Are we accepting Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons simply because they name the name of Christ in their dialogue? Before we start accepting anyone as a brother or sister in Jesus Christ, we had better make it our business to find out exactly what they believe, and that includes who they say Jesus Christ is." Jehovah's Witnesses' Charles Taze Russel and Judge Rutherford were bona fide liars whose covers were pulled in court and through the print media time and time again. Yet millions of disciples follow. Their teachings are fabricated. (24)

There has been a change going on to our American Flag or have you noticed? The first time we mentioned it was at the Republican Convention, when George W. Bush was running for president. It was used as a backdrop. Again in Washington DC it was advertised next to our flag to get us to accept it by association, I suppose. What is most interesting is that nobody has ever mentioned it. The silence is deafening. Why is it a secret? Why is the flag being changed and what does it mean? I for one would like to know? I counted the star: you guessed 13 and it has 6 white stripes and 6 red stripes. Shouldn't we know what they represent?.

Have you ever looked at the English flag with discernment? It is a nixed cross. "Christians decry British ban on religious broadcasts. Thousands of Christians this week are calling on the British government to lift a ban on national religious broadcasting, in response to news that a government forum on the future of religious broadcasting is set to exclude independent religious broadcasters. The effort to oppose this move is another issue that unites Christians from a wide range of denominations and organizations. (25)

An interesting conversation came up for Dave Hunt in England recently: "I'm a Christian," he replied firmly, "An Anglican?" "Yes, of course." There was no mistaking the conviction in his voice. A brief but lively discussion followed. Our host earnestly supported Prince Charles's intention to change the oath he would take upon becoming king from "Defender of "the" faith to "Defender of faith." He insisted the change was justified because of England's multicultural society and assured us that Muslims and Buddhists and anyone else all worshiped the same God as Christians. His "Christianity" was really Anglican churchianity - and any "faith" would do.(26)

Christian guerrillas' infiltrate Gay Days?? Martin and Phillip blended in with the gay men who jammed the Manniquins nightclub at Downtown Disney for the start of Gay Days, only they were self-described "Christian guerillas" armed with two hidden cameras documenting openly homoerotic displays by Disney workers which they intended to show at Disney's next shareholders' meeting. Mawyer, president of the Christian Action Network, Forest, Va.-based activist group claims to have 230,000 members and a $1.5 million budget.(12) This brings to mind a discovery we made on Internet. We'll be bringing it into the next issue in detail. Interfaith (New Agers) are very involved with helping Christians invest their money. The guerillas could be involved in that little sharade. We can't go into it this time.

How About This on the left? Are they sending a message or what? This picture was almost the whole newspaper page dedicated to this new ministry in the Tampa Tribune. Willie Aames says he uses his "Bibleman" character to teach moral lessons to children. In his movies, he battles villains with a biblical rhetoric. His acting career took off in the 1980s, when he played Tommy Bradford on "Eight is Enough,"...

The United Methodist Church thinks of everything. The rev. Carol Williams (no relation to us) served churches in England before taking over spiritual leadership at Trinity United Methodist. The church offers a teddi bear ministry, where members and guests may take a teddi bear and give it to a friend.

We wonder if Rev. Williams is married to a policeman. Policemen belong to the Lodge here in Florida [ don't know if they are all members] but we get many phone calls asking us to donate to their "teddi bear" ministry to kids and other causes. They specify how much to give and when it has to be there. Since the Charitable Choice / Faith-Based funding is made available the calls have dropped off are made by women rather than policemen themselves. It is possible that they are getting their funding elsewhere, which was a relief to us.

Tommy Tenney at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida, a 45-year-old revivalist wrote the book "the God Chasers," which was in its eighth printing. Some Assemblies of God retail chains removed his material from their stores over doctrinal disputes. Tenny is unwilling to turn his back on his roots in the United Pentecostal Church which split from the Assembly of God Church in 1916 over its "Oneness" theology, which promotes baptizing people only in Jesus' name. T.D. Jakes also has ties to the Oneness camp which has sparked controversy. Despite the disagreement, Tenney said he holds no animosity for LifeWay or Trask, who shared the podium with him at a pro-unity meeting in Atlanta in March.

Did you know that the "Remnant is a Force?" Paul Yongi Cho prophesied in April 23, 1998 that "Revival will continue until Jesus comes," in spite of the fact that the Bible tells us the opposite: "But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts." (Jude 1:17,18) "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron.." (1 Timothy 4:1,2) ""This know also, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. " (2 Timothy 3:1,2) "

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Timothy 4:3,4) "But there were false prophets also among the people even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken and through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." (2 Peter 2:1-3)

The remnant was mentioned once by Jesus in a parable in Matthew 22 "And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables and said, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. [Ed note: Jesus is addressing Israelis who were to be His bride] Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. " (Matthew 22:1-6)

The word "Remnant" comes up again in Romans 9:27, 28 which again addresses Jews. "Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth." In Romans 11:5 "Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace." Again God is addressing God's chosen people who are not the church. The church are the called, Jews and Gentiles who have accepted Christ Jesus as their Savior and Redeemer. To verify that these verses address Israelis. the Apostle Paul states: "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. ." (Romans 11:1,2) In three more incidences in the Book of Revelation we have the remnant affrighted, the Antichrist making war with them and they were slain with the sword during the Tribulation. (Rev. 11:13; 12:17; 19:21) Now you tell me what Rev. Jerrell Miller is telling Christians in his newspaper "The Remnant" in April 2001, based in Mobile, Alabama.

What is this Rev. then saying after reading the Bible verses that lign up with "remnant". He is biblically stating that the Jewish remnant is a force. Who are these Jews? Rev. Miller writes: "As I went to the Brownsville Revival in January the Power of God could be felt over the campus as I spoke." [Ed Note: the power cannot be felt, we delineated that in this article. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One God: God states that we cannot comprehend the spirit world. How could we then discuss it or write about it. Job 37:5 "God thundereth marvelously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend." Job 9:5 again speaking of God who is Spirit: "Which removeth the mountains, and they know not:" Job. 9:10,11 "Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not." ]

He goes on: "It was noticable, but we didn't know it was the calm before the fire. In January Rick Reuben was back in place to lead intercession, it seemed as if the stage was being set once again. We knew God would come but what happened since that time has shown us that we have not seen all that God is going to do. Dr. Larry Martin prays over the English student in the Orange and the glory hits BRSM for eight straight hours. Cindy Jacobs comes on a weekend and a tremendous move of God sweeps through the revival church. Bridging the America's opens a new realm of the Spirit as John & Carol Arnott and Cludio Freidzon. Tommy Tenney comes and the glory rocks the church once again - even in 1995 we did not see as much as we are seeing today at The Brownsville Revival.

We at The Remnant call it the Second Wind because we remember South Korean (former Buddhist) Pastor Cho's word, "Revival Will Not End Until Jesus Comes." "Lindell's is moving in the prophetic and his music has hit a new level of the "Spirit" . (ED Note we added the quotes to the spirit because we don't know who this spirit is. Another feature is Apostolic Fathering Conference "Embracing the Apostolic" by Heritage Fellowship in Florence, Kentucky. The ad states that Pastor Keith is a man consumed with a passion for revival... Friday night "River Meetings" where thousands have been touched with an outpouring of the power and presence.."

At the Orange Sanctuary, Brownsville Revival School of Ministry, "the weight of God's glory fell .. as I looked out over the student body I was reminded that each student represents a future congregation.. As I pondered this I began to see a mist rise above the people. A mist made up of separate particles charged with worship for our living, breathing God.. Steve Art, the BRSM Missions director, shared a vision that he had of Jesus riding down the center isle of the Orange. He was smiling, pleased with the willing workers that were ready to give everything... No introduction was needed for Evangelist Steve Hill, cheers roared.... Today Steve Hill reminded us that God requires us to burn as we offer up our bodies to Him [ED Note: where is that in the Bible?]. He quoted D.L. Moody saying that the devil is always waiting at the foot of the mountain... we should never look for peace when we have declared war." A large yellow and black target was brought out... "If you really want to become known you must first become known in Hell and be followed by demons that come to put you out of commission..." [Ed Note: is that what Steve is all about "becoming known?"] He brought a man named named Jim Summers on to the platform.. as the man who kept Steve out of jail after he first got saved... Steve asked if we were ready to be obligated to Jesus and then to be obligated to our neighbors..."

The Remnant on page 17 "Spring has seen the presence of God at Happy Hill Church in Oklahoma. Ambassador John Davis has Touched God." "Who can explain the magnetism of Evangelist John Davis. Jim Goll Prophetic Ministry's heading "Wasted On Jesus." He suggests instead of falling down drunk on booze, sex, drugs, entertainment and violence: getting "wasted" , get wasted on Jesus! "These passionate, fiery radicals make up the first wave assault troops in this cosmic struggle to determine which "controlling substance will rule our lives. They are a vanguard of a great army consumed with a mighty spiritual passion that is spreading across the world-wide body of Christ today. That passion is a craving that transcends sectarian and confessional lines.. Old ways of "religion" do not quench our thirst... Personally, I hunger for a place called "home." As I travel from city to city and nation to nation, a yearning, puzzling question keeps rising up in my spirit: "Just where is home?" [Ed Note: The Word of God is never mentioned in these writings. If Jim Coll were to study the Word daily he would not be lost looking for home.] (27)

Southern Baptists refuse to Rescind No-Tongues Rule. An attempt to rescind a Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) policy that prohibits North American missionaries from speaking in tongues has failed, leaving its sponsor frustrated and uncertain of his next move. Pastor Bob Shearer of Harbison Church of the Cross in Columbia, S.C., filed a resolution at the convention's annual meeting in mid-June. But it quietly died, with the resolutions committee not acting on the proposal. Chattanooga, Tenn., pastor Ron Phillips, whose annual "Fresh Oil Conference for Charismatic Baptists" drew record attendance this spring, wasn't surprised the issue got pushed aside. . First Baptist Church of Satellite Beach voted to leave the SBC by a 77% margin. "We felt God telling us we couldn't stay connected with someone embracing Freemasonry and denying the move of the Holy Spirit in the world today," said Booth of the domestic missions board's policy.(28)

A radical departure from the Baptist upbringing, Derek Corzine became a Goth to tell them about Jesus. After praying about how to, he says God told him to become like his friends. "I became a Goth to minister to Goths," he says. "My motive was 1 Corinthians 9:22 - becoming all things to all men that I might win some to Jesus."

Derek grew his hair long and wore black leather, chains and spikes. He carried his Bible with him to school and shared Jesus with classmates. He wore Gothic make up in a style that portrayed a hidden personality trait, as many Goths do. "..People were tripping out.. people freaked," he says One day his pastor told him he would have to stop wearing Gothic makeup, because it was "not ethical in a Christian church." Derek disagreed, saying that Christian mimes wear makeup for a similar purpose when they evanglize with skits... Derek's pastor ordered him to leave the church and not come back. After three years of being a Goth, he left the Goth still wears his hair long, but he dresses in baggy jeans and plays with a Christian-metal band called Syringe. (29)

Of Baptist teaching, Baptists have altar calls and baptism by immersion. We came forward at altar calls every opportunity before we entered Mormonism. What was wrong with us was the same thing that is wrong with Derek's approach to Christianity. We thought we were good people and going to church and assumed that everything would turn out alright. Instead everything turned out so wrong. Twenty years in Mormonism was an abomination in God's eyes. In Derek's case he told himself that he was good because he wanted to convert Goth to Christianity when in reality he was attracted to Goth.

Why Goth? Many people lead unhappy, unachieved lives. And that's sad. Goth makes depression and angst a lifestyle choice, and that's art. Many Goths reflect popular culture and are probably nominal or devout Christians. Atheism, Agnosticism, the New Age, Gnosticism, Shamanism, Wicca, other Neopagan traditions, and other minority faith groups are represented more frequently than in the general population.

Goths often wear Christian crosses or Christian crucifixes, which many regard as a pre-Christian religious symbol. Others wear New Age/ancient Egyptian Ankh symbols. Some do this as expression of their religious beliefs, some for satire, and others because they like their appearance.

Derek was rebellious and disobedient to his own beliefs just like we were without realizing it. We wanted to make up our religion and serve a "God" of our imagination. True repentance and realization of one's sinful existence has to happen to be truly converted to Christ Jesus. God will not be mocked. To say we can bring our lifestyle into His Church is a sign that we have not truly submitted to Christ Jesus. Total submission to Him means to leave our worldly life behind as an act of worship and thankfulness for having received the gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus.

If we become part of the Body of Christ just imagine what Jesus would look like if he were part Goth, part polygamist, part homosexual, part Virgin Mary, part JW Michael, part Buddhist, part Islam etc., etc. it doesn't wash. Jesus is portrayed in the Bible in sandals and a simple robe, without a seam because He is a royal King, no earrings, or necklace or tattoos. God wants us to emulate His Son. Everything about Jesus has meaning and teaches us how we as born again believers ought to present ourselves. That is were the rubber meets the road. Talk is cheap.

Government-funded programs are beginning to pop up. Pomona's Shield of Faith Christian Center headed by a black and white couple, are the driving force behind the church's successful, government-funded Welfare to Work program. The leadership told reporters, there is high unemployment in Pomona, California and we couldn't focus on the message of salvation alone; we had to address the context. That meant helping unemployed homeless residents to get jobs.. the welfare reform in 1996 enabled churches to apply for federal dollars for social services they provided on church funding. They received $250,000 for a two- year contract... They acquired extra responsibilities of satisfying the government accounting requirements, as well as making at least 75 job placements in the two-year contract. It was done and the contract will be renewed. (30)

Bishop Dennis Leonard of Heritage Christian Center announced that his church will be participating in "Faith-base pursuits. Dennis was in construction before he designed and built his own mega church. Visitors like Thompson and Parsley quickly increased his membership beyond capacity. One night we made the mistake of going to the old building where the youth held their meetings. An evangelist from England was busy entertaining the youngsters with the Revival Spirit of laughter and put many kids under the spell of carpet time. Some of the kids were virtually jumping to the ceiling in hysterical laughter. I remained in the back of the room and that spirit of laughter seemed to get to most attendees. My friend's child, a former Mormon, went down to the floor as soon as she entered the hall. Her dad was overwhelmed with delight that God would touch her that quickly.

We know today that is not what happened. Heritage Center is ecumenical and multicultural. Like Marilyn Hickey's church, flags from most countries decorated the walls when we attended.They offer third dimension worship and have a choice of many programs, from bowling to drama, finding employment to helping people get off drugs. They are now participating in the Charitable Choice/ Faith Based Initiative.

I can safely say that the Hickey's of the former Happy Church in Littleton, led the way in building mega organizations to gear into what is happening today. We have known Marilyn Hickey unbeknownst to her, from the time she was a simple school teacher simply reading the Bible on radio. That ministry literally exploded internationally through a whole many ideas which have covered the earth. She is the one who introduced bringing the world into the church to make people feel at home. It worked. From her ministry sprang thousands of ministries.

The cell group concept came from China. Young ministers were sent over there to learn how to do it. The concept was embraced because it was supposed to bring in new members by inviting neighbors into the meetings. There was roll call and very tight surveillance of each member in the group. They shared their most intimate experiences. The concept was the foundation to the Faith-Based concept.

In these meetings people prayed about their needs so the group could then come in and try to fix the problems. In example: we had a neighbor who had divorced her husband and she had never worked and could not hold a job. Every meeting she would pray over her flat tire, or needing her plumbing fixed, or needed food ect.. The church had to substitute for her husband who had married someone else. It was easy to identify the problems in the congregation. That laid the foundation for what wants to happen today where the government wants to move the whole social responsibility into the church and under the Republicans with little government funding.

According to Marilyn's testimony, she purchased a $36 million shopping center for around $7 million telling everyone that God was behind this effort. The church kept expanding from reconstruction to reconstruction of the sanctuary to hold all the people. She now has a university, and school classes from kindergarten up.

Unknowingly Marilyn had an influence on the Baptist Derek's life who joined the Goth. His comment to his Baptist pastor was: "Christian mimes wear makeup," which was one of Marilyn's specialties. She encouraged young teens to do mimes and go and witness with these performances. The whole TBN agenda was influenced by her ministry. One of the choirs could very well be Goths. They have the look without the white faces. The conductor wears black long stringy hair and the choir wears black

Marilyn welcomes anyone no matter what they wear or who they represent. Her ministry is totally open ecumenical and multicultural. She is very popular in Africa. Her bookstore is lined with Kenneth Hagin and Copeland's books which brings me to the next subject.

This comment was made in the White House. "Quakers are in opposition to slavery," so was this one. Anyone who knows something about Freemasonry would know what "the thousand points of lights" refer to. We featured an article about the Grand Lodge in Texas which put a Mason on the moon and claimed it.

Pentecostal leaders rally in D.C. to support Bush's 'Faith-Based Initiative'. Hundreds of pastors are seeking a controversial partnership with the government to provide services to the poor. "It's time to bring new resources to people in need," Vice President Dick Cheney announced at the summit's opening reception. "And I;m speaking to experts tonight - those with a real track record of changing lives.

The national Center for Faith Based Initiative (NCFBI) in West Palm Beach, Fla., served as co-host for the summit. Bishop Harold Calvin Ray said his organization will serve as a clearinghouse for more than 50,000 churches to help them secure needed resources for economic rejuvenation and for empowering troubled communities. Ray also is founder of the Kingdom Dominion Church Fellowship of about 300 independent Pentecostal churches in the United States. Harold Ray, a black former attorney has gained support from 10 of the most prominent black pastors in the country who serve as its board of governors: Charles E. Blake [who just built a $65 million cathedral in Los Angeles and multimillionaire Bishop T.D. Jakes of Dallas.

The NCFBI has partnered with the National Black Chamber of Commerce, The National Center for Neigborhood Enterprise, and The American Center for Law and Justice. The alliances are part of Ray's overall plan to make NCFBI the flagship of the faith-based initiative in this country. [Ed Note: I guess the white folk can go to Mormons for help.] (31)

Habitat is the "in" thing right now. President Bush (hit his thumb) and President Clinton visited and hammered nails into new homes built for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian organization which has been in existence since 1976. Franklin Graham's ministry builds homes in South America from this same funding plus donations. More than 100,000 houses have been built in more than 60 countries. East Pasco Habitat in Dade City near Tampa, Florida, broke ground on their 14th house. John Finnery wants to build 24 homes. The land would cost $96,000, he said. "We want to tear down the shacks and build decent housing for people in need." 35 volunteers and friends of the community gathered to break ground. People who get the homes are required to put "sweat equity" into building their home.(32)

Greater Ministries trial finally came to conclusion and the sentencing became public in the Tampa Tribune on August 7, 2001. Gerald Payne, founder of Greater Ministries International Church, received a 27-year sentence from a U.S. District Judge who called the church's fraudulent investment program "absolutely despicable."

Betty Payne, the founder's wife, received a sentence of 12 years and seven months - longer than she faced before she angered the judge by repeating a declaration portraying her and her husband as victims of a zealous government... The church claimed international trades and lucrative mining ventures fueled a money-doubling financial program, but prosecutors proved it was a Ponzi scheme that paid established investors with money from recent investors.

The Judge asks where did the religious fraud's millions, to the tune of $500 million during the 90s, go? Who has it? These questions have not been answered. Mr. Talbert was an elder at Greater Ministries International Church and worked with its legal and trust departments. This scheme drew more than 18,000 investors. [One couple invested over $200,000, their life's savings, and lost every penny.] Talbert is 53 and serving a 10-year sentence in state prison for an unrelated charge of racketeering and conspiracy conviction. He tried to claim diplomatic immunity as an ambassador from the Kingdom of Heaven. (33) One of the culprits involved snitched to get a lesser sentence and said that over a million dollars is stashed in a bank in Mexico.(34)

Rev. Lyons recently divorced his wife to set her free. She never did come to visit him in jail.

We are getting a barrage of pictures and write-ups of Tammy Faye Bakker, Messner, honoring her and paying tribute in the Tribune. "Gay Community Love Tammy," a long-ago "Praise the Lord" encounter is remembered and honored. PrideFest welcomes Tammy Faye in Tampa as the keynote speaker at Friday's party. There appear to be more reasons why some gays have welcomed Tammy Faye into their community, crowning her as a cultural icon. She literally embraced them .. Tammy never batted a heavily made-up eye at their sexual orientation, urging viewers to accept them with Christian love..

Opening with a giggled warning to the crowd - "What you don't realize is that you've hired a preacher" - Messner delivered a rousing speech based on her faith that "God loves you just the way you are." She led the crowd in a chorus of "Jesus Loves Me." She encouraged them to repeat a common childhood prayer. And she compared her own tribulations to those experienced by gays who have felt ostracized or ignored.

"I've been called everything by the media but a Christan," she said. "Yet I think God loves unique people. Like you, I've suffered. We've all been made fun of and misunderstood. Lloyd was astounded by her commitment to gays.. "Sure I'm surprised. I mean, she's Jim Bakker's ex-wife," Lloyd said. "But God bless her. We need more like her." Leaflets were handed out at the entrance. "Tammy Faye, shame on you!" Linda, 49, described homosexuality as "being up there with murder and greed." Police disbursed the group. The program included induction into the Tampa Bay Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame. (35)

Tammy's son, "Jay Bakker Tells the World his Story" in Charisma Magazine, April 2001 p. 18,19. We, as the world, know their story backward and forward and there are millions who have stories like that that do not get into books and magazines.What makes this family unique? The Charismatics know how to get attention. In the article he complains about the criticism he receives for his tattoos. He just doesn't get it. He states, "Jesus probably would have been hanging out with these people." I wish that family would read the Bible before the represent the Gospel.

JESUS IN PUNK BARS WITH PROSTITUTES AND NOTORIOUS SINNERS? NOT ACCORDING TO THE GOSPEL. Jesus began his ministry in the wilderness where John the Baptist was preaching and asked John to baptize him by immersion and went into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. "Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

Jesus did not worship the media. He did not visit John the Baptist in prison either. He left town and dwelt on the sea coast. He was walking by the sea when he met Peter, Andrew, James and John, who were fishers. They immediately left what they were doing and followed Jesus. Jesus went to the synagogues to preach the Gospel.

People followed Jesus into the mountains where he taught the Beatitudes, about Salt & Light, about the Law, about anger, about sin, about divorce, about oaths, about retaliation, about enemies, about proper almsgiving, about prayer, about fasting, about treasures in heaven, about the Light of the world, about putting the kingdom first, about judging others, about seeking God's help [not AA's], about the narrow way, about behavior and belief, about "I Never Knew You", about building a firm foundation, and He heals people.

Jesus went to Peter's home and healed. Again Jesus went to the shore and entered a ship with his disciples and calmed the sea. People came out to see him. Matthew was sitting at a table collecting custom. He left his old profession and followed Jesus. Sinners followed Jesus and sat with him because they had heard of His healing powers. He said that He came to CALL SINNERS TO REPENTANCE. Jesus raises the dead, heals the blind, the mute, chooses the twelve, teaches them, that they should expect persecution, told them not to fear, confess Christ before men, expect conflict and rewards. Jesus condemns certain cities. He tells us to rest in the Lord and is Lord over Sabbath Day.

He again went to the synagogue and preached. He again proves his power over Satan by healing a possessed person. He went by the seaside and went into a ship and preached to the crowds the parables. After that He went home where he grew up and preached in the synagogue. Again He goes to the desert and feeds the five thousand, later on shore He walked on water and spent his time away from the city most of his life until it was time to die.

He enters Jerusalem, cleanses the Temple of the money-changers, and said "It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves." Jesus was hungry and there was no fruit on the Fig Tree and said unto the tree: "Let no fruit grow on there henceforward forever." In the temple he teaches the chief priests parables, one is about the wedding banquet. He tells them to give Caesar the things that are Caesar's and discusses the resurrection. He condemns the Scribes and Pharisees and weeps over Jerusalem and describes the last days, the great tribulation, His own second coming and teaches more parables about the faithful and unfaithful; the ten Virgins, and future judgment.

He is anointed for the burial. The betrayal begins: Judas agrees. The Lord says good bye to his disciples at the Lord's Supper. Peter denies Him, Jesus prays alone in the garden in agony and asked God to remove the cup that he is about to drink [the crucifixion] but God can't grant Him that because we would have all ended up in hell forever. Jesus accepts God's will for us to be saved and allows Himself to be arrested and crucified. They laid Him in Joseph's tomb hewn out of rock and the third day at dawn He rose again and Jesus met his disciples and said "be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they shall go into Galilee, and there shall see me. And they all went to the mountains and worshiped him. (36)

The article about Jay's ministry in Charisma continues: "The critical letters were the inspiration behind a new tattoo that features a smiling punk kid with a Bible and the phrase "Kids Love Jesus." All the Bakkers tattoos have Christian themes.

Before we continue with Jay's philosophy, let's take a look at what we are dealing with when we talk about what is called "punks."

Inside the Meow Meow it states, if they weren't more concerned about the inner person than the outer appearance, The Bridge staff probably would not have made it their present ministry. That's because of the punk "look" - though there are many exceptions - has historically been an imposing one: radically cropped or bleached hair, tattoos, black leather, T-shirts, chains or studded clothes, and lace-up military-style boots. And look has been in keeping with the culture's origins.

Historically "punk" is a counterculture that coalesced primarily in a generation of anti-establishment youth from England's working-class in the 1960s. Its appeal has been embraced in one form or another in the United States since about the latter 1960s, and in the 1970s band like the Sex Pistols gave many Americans their first introduction to punk.

Music is a core element, and it's usually played hard, loud and very fast.Gecko is just one of the many punks, proud of their against-the-grain identify, who frequent The Bridge, a church of about 150 that's pastored by the baby boomer trio of 55 year-old Ken Loyd - Richard Dreyfuss lookalike with spiked gray hair - his wife Deborah, 49, and their friend Crystal Ward, 38...

Three days a week, the facility doubles as a punk-rock club called the Meow Meow. It's run by the Bridge members who are always ready to answer questions about Christianity or to walk through difficult circumstances with people who attend. "We don't proselytize," Deborah emphasizes... the club.. filled with people daring to break the "norm" to reach those who don't fit the norm and daring to worship the Lord with music so loud that of them opt for the free ear plugs. (37)

Jay said: "We really have to be unconditional lovers of people, extra givers of grace!" Very interesting comment again. The Bible tells us: "Be ye therefore followers of God as dear children: And walk in love, as Christ hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, not covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not therefore partakers with them."

Notice here that the true believer's Church is not included in the wrath. A confirmation of a "pretrib" Rapture.

Tattoos are a form of idolatry. After people have accepted Christ Jesus, they become responsible citizens in heaven. That is immediate and requires a turning away from the old person one was and allowing the Holy Spirit to influence our lives with exemplary behavior that immulates Christ Jesus as much as possible. Tattoos and bars are not holiness.

From page 18 in Charisma May 2001: "Jay Bakker's commitment to unconditional love crosses another controversial boundary. If a young woman says she wants an abortion, they do all they can to talk her out of it, and they refer her to a crisis-pregnancy ministry in Safehouse (his ministry). If she chooses the abortion nonetheless, they will accompany her to the clinic," he said. "If a girl made that decision and is going to do that, we're going to be there because Jesus would be there," he said.(38) JESUS DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN MURDERING BABIES.

Jay admits that he nailed a number of ministers in his new book "Son of a Preacher Man," due to come out in January 2002, for what they did during the fall of PTL. Jay is still in the AA 12 step recovery program and will probably have to remain in it for the rest of his life. The problem with AA, people get hooked on that . We suggest the family get hooked on Jesus once and for all and repent.

All three family members seem to still be very angry and blame others for their problems. Jay obviously has not given his life to Jesus Christ if he thinks Jesus would be instrumental in abortions.

Tammy's former husband, evangelist Jim Bakker, talked about his plans on the Larry King show. Former television evangelist plans has opened "The Camp of Hope" for inner-city youths in rural Florida panhandle where he now lives. Church groups from all over the country are helping build and paint. The program starts with an inner-city ministry in Atlanta called "Revolution" where Bakker's son, Jay works with street children and punk rockers. He wants to add locations in Nashville, Tennessee and New York if the program succeeds. The funding will come through the Faith-Based Initiative. (39) Considering what happened in the White House on May 30, 2001 this dream may go up in smoke. Tammy and her ex-husband make perfect icons for opening more church doors to the world and the broad road which leads straight to hell.

Jay Bakker is the most popular subject in our ministry forum. Young people love him because he speaks their language. They defend him and want us to embrace him. We watched his interview on Larry King's show with his dad Jim Bakker. What transpired gave us enough proof that they have never repented of their behavior because they are about to lead more people astray with their new plans.

The program was "Beating Addictions." I don't have the exact date but it was during the first week of July, 2001. Jim was telling Larry, "way back when I was in my 20th I worked for Pat Robertson and became a workaholic. I got so wired, I went to the doctor to get tranquilizers and from there went to drugs and alcohol. I was like a cat on a hot tin roof... Years later my son came to me in prison and cried. Jay was an unbelievable drug addict crying when he visited me in prison. He was on LSD and having flash backs. 'I'll go to the doctor if they can only cut it out of me whatever it is that is causing this.'" [Mind you, both mother and father Bakker had been in Christian ministry for years] They took Jay to a psychiatrist? Problem was, "Jay was also on alcohol."

Larry King asked eagerly, if he stopped cold? Jim Bakker said: "no." Jay came on the scene and said,"All he wanted to do was keep me from killing myself and we fought." Jay said: "I had helped my dad get out of prison and I felt like had done my end and I was just going to live. Fortunately my dad didn't want me to be an alcoholic and drug addict the rest of my life."

Jim Bakker said: "I have studied this all these years "deliverance from all these drugs.. Those that have hope in Jesus Christ "or in a higher power " they can be cured." Jim and Jay's philosophy was contained in those five words. We hope you know what the words indicate. If not, I am doing all this work for nothing. Jim went on: "The government has spent millions of dollars for a small percentage of success with drug addicts. A little group like "Teen Challenge" [Jay's ministry] has a success rate of 89% and is based on a [gov't Charitable Choice] Faith-Based program."

Here comes the cincher: "He [Jay] joined AA. He loves AA to this day [Jim almost broke into tears] because you can call people at 4 o'clock in the morning, they are there for you. I believe that this family, this group is what does it. It takes love or whatever it is. If people stand together it can happen." Addressing his son, Jim said: "he is poring his life into other people and getting his mind off himself." In describing "The Camp of Hope" for inner-city youths, Jim said that the kids that come there have to go to work to keep their minds busy. That is how you keep kids out of drugs and alcohol. Jim and Jay are working together and are using the AA 12 step system to get kids off drugs.

We have no problems with people helping people but we do have a problem when people claim to be born again believers and use techniques that are anti-christ. Like Jim Bakker said during his conversation with Larry King: as long as you believe in a higher power it will work for you. That is sheer witchcraft. If that higher power is not the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, it is Satan. I know I would hope that my children would not end up in this Bakker cult. Here we go again... Jim, Jay and Tammy.. we are waiting for repentance and a realization that God will not be mocked. People who are divorced should not be shepherds of God's precious sheep. Jesus said to get up and sin no more to the prostitute. There is only one who can stop the addictions and that is the HEALER, JESUS CHRIST. Satan may be able to fake it, but it is fools gold.

Charities say President Bush failed to come through for them. Leading charities questioned the agreement to drop from the tax cut bill provisions aimed at spurring charitable giving. In negotiations over the $1.35 trillion, 10-year tax legislation the House and Senate approved, they agreed to do without $90 billion in breaks to aid charities.. The breaks to aid charities among Bush's first campaign pledges, were a key part of the president's effort to spur giving to charitable organizations so they could play a greater role in combating the country's social problems.

"Congress has passed a bill that will reduce charitable given and harm millions of Americans who rely on the vital services provided by charitable organizations," said Peter Shiras. Kenneth Gladish, head of YMCA suggested charities lost out to more powerful interests in the tax debate. The blow from the tax cut bill is twofold. It omitted a charitable tax deduction for those who don't itemize their returns, a provision that would have increased charitable giving by $15 billion a year, according to a Pricewaterhouse Coopers study. The legislation included the repeal of the estate tax, which deprive nonprofits of up to $6 billion a year from bequests, the group said. The legislation also dropped provisions that would have increased the among corporations could give tax-free to charity and allowed tax-free donation from individual retirement accounts. (40) Callers to CSPAN are disappointed in President Bush and believe he will only be a one term president.

The White House abruptly ended its consideration Tuesday of a regulation that would have allowed religious charities to discriminate against gays, after Senate leaders warned that such a move would imperil Bush's core "faith-based" initiative. Earlier in the day, White House officials said they were considering a request from the Salvation Army, the nation's largest charity, to issue a regulation that would protect government-funded religious charities from state and local laws barring workplace discrimination, including on the basis of sexual orientation. But Tuesday evening, after the matter caused a furor in Washington, a statement was issued saying it "will not pursue the [Office of Management and Budget] regulation proposed by the Salvation Army and reported today."

The retreat followed a report in Tuesday's Washington Post that, according to an internal Salvation Army document, the White House had made a "firm commitment" to issue a regulation protecting government-funded religious charities from hiring discrimination laws. At the same time, the Salvation Army agreed to use its clout as the nation's largest charity to boost Bush's "faith-based" initiative. The charity plans to spend between $88,000 and $110,000 a month to support the effort.

The Senators are very troubled by the President's secret deals. Senator Lieberman, an ally of Bush, said that the gay discrimination exemption puts a cloud over the president's desire to extend the faith-based initiative.(19.5) What this decision accomplishes is that it will throw the final 10th amount of what was expected in funding into those organizations who legitimize homosexuality. In other words they get rewarded for going against the Bible. It will have a tendency to make other churches capitulate to accept that philosophy. The Bible will very soon have to be totally rewritten to have one at all. Christians can only serve one or another. They can't serve both ideologies at the same time.

Scientology center stays open in Moscow. The court dismissed an appeal by prosecutors seeking to shut down a Russian office of the Los Angeles-based Church of Scientology. They are having problems in France. The French leader believes all sects including Baptists are a threat to French spiritual beliefs.

In Clearwater there is a hung jury over a misdemeanor marijuana case. Everyone things Church of Scientology critic was set up. An illegal marijuana plant was found at Jesse Prince's home. Prince was a former high ranking official of the church. Evidence showed that private detectives working for the church shadowed Prince for months before succeeding in having him charged by Largo police with growing a marijuana plant on his deck. The church testified that it wants Prince exposed as a drug user because he has testified against the church on numerous occasions.. Pinellas County Judge Andrews declared a mistrial and said a new trial will be set at a future hearing. Attorney Wardell, who prosecuted the case, said it is too soon to say if her office will try again to convict Prince. (41)

" Jehovah's Witnesses and the Deity of Christ: 1 ".. the true Scriptures speak of God's Son, the Word as 'a god.' No, for the Bible plainly states that in his existence, Jesus was a created Spirit being, just as angels were spirit beings created by God. Neither the angels nor Jesus existed before creation (Should You Believe in the Trinity?). 4) "The Bible shows that there is only one God.. 'greater than His Son' .. And that the Son, as the First-born, Only begotten and the 'creation by God,' had a beginning. That the Father is greater and older than the Son is reasonable, easy to understand and is what the Bible teaches" (From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained, Brooklyn; Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 1958 p. 164).

5. ".. Jesus was the 'Son of God' Not God himself!" (The Word" Who Is He?, p.20). 6."The very fact that he was proves he was not equal with God but was less than God his Father" ("The Word," Who Is He?, p. 41). 7) "Certainly the apostle John was not so unreasonable as to say that someone ['the Word'] was with some other individual ('God') and at the same time was the other individual ('God')" ("The Word," Who Is He?" p.53) "The deity of Christ is jugular vein which the cults go after zealously. In their New World Translation Jesus is stripped of His role as Almighty God and conforms to the teachings of the Charles Taze Russell [Freemason]. (42)

We are not immune to Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons. Only if we know the Scriptures thoroughly, intimately do we have a defense against these lies.

I mean a reproduction of Himself, and in the Garden of Eden He did that. He was not a little like God. He was not almost like God. He was not subordinate to God even. Adam is as much like God as you could get, just the same as Jesus. When He came into the earth He said, "If you've seen Me you've seen the Father." He wasn't a lot like God - He's God manifested in the flesh. And I want you to know something: Adam, in the garden of Eden, was God manifested in the flesh!" In this article we will unveil the truth of Kenneth Copeland's Masonic membership. Kenneth is a closet, secret Freemason who does not want anyone to know this truth.. [one] needs to look deeply.. [for] specific clues. It is a trademark of most proud Masons to leave key symbols veiled in pictures and .. various keywords in speeches or secret handshakes. Proof of this can be found in Masonry's most common definition of itself as being 'Freemasonry is a peculiar system of Morality, veiled in Allegory, and illustrated by Symbols.'

This is taken directly from the second degree initiation and the fact that it is still currently used was proven to me recently when I attended a Masonic open day and heard that same description. The application of this quote in regard to Copeland is discussed below. Kenneth Copeland started his ministry as a pilot for Oral Roberts, a 33rd Degree Freemason, Kenneth appeared on TV sometime around June 1997 praising Oral Roberts, since they had become close friends. Evidence that Oral Roberts is a 33rd Degree Freemason will be published soon.

The Little "I AMs" - Professing To Be Gods: During the ceremonies of the Masonic ritual for the Royal Arch degree, the candidate is asked, "Brother Inspector, what are you?" and he replies, "I AM THAT I AM," When Jesus told the Jews, ".. before Abraham was "I AM.. ", he was claiming to be the God of Moses who went by that name. This is the reason they immediately tried to kill him. Kenneth Copeland is claiming to be a God, as do all New Agers - Freemasons - Mormons!

* Kenneth Copeland chants the words "I AM," a Masonic initiation term:

"And I say this with all respect, so that it don't upset you too bad. But I say it anyway: When I read in the Bible where He says, "I AM," I just smile and say, "Yes, I AM, too." (Believers Voice of Victory broadcast, July 9, 1987)

* 33rd Degree Freemason Robert Schuller also encourages his followers to chant "I AM:" "The most effective mantras employ the "M" sound. You can get the feel of it by repeating the words, "I am, I am," many times over... Transcendental Meditation or TM.. is not a religion nor is it necessarily anti-Christian." (Peace of Mind Through Possibility Thinking, pp 131-32)

* Benny Hinn also tells Christian to chant "I AM:" "Don't' tell me you have Jesus. You are everything He was and everything He is and ever shall be.. Don't say, 'I have.' Say, 'I AM, I AM, I AM, I AM, I AM." (Our Position in Christ # 2 - The Word Made Flesh audiotape, Side 2)

Masonic Androgyny - Half Male, Half Female - Kenneth Copeland has stated that Jehovah means Half Male / Half Female and that God is as much female as he is male. You can see how this lends to the power behind the homosexual movement that has invaded evangelical circles. He amplifies this strange teaching by also saying that Adam was originally half male and half female. According to the book. "The Secret Teachings Of Freemasonry" by Gordon Mohr, this is exactly what the Masonic Lodge teaches. (On pages 107-108).

In his first initiation stages he (the Freemason) learns: 1 - That the rite of initiation for Apprentice Masons represents in dramatic fashion the origin or birth of Nature's god - the Great All. It signifies the non-existence of a supernatural person God, such as that of Christianity. It signifies that the two principles of "matter" and "form", "male" and "female," are always eternally generating," (reproducing). It looks on God as a hermaphrodite, and creation as the beginning of the "generation process." (Taken from: Speculative Masonry, by Brother J. Yorke, Grand Master of the Ancient Rite, p. 3 & 54)

The initiation rite into the Second Degree of Freemasonry, represents the moral condition of nature's god, always in labor, always reproducing. Again it looks on God as hermaphroditic, and states that his name JEHOVAH, means "generation." Meaning to say HE-SHE, the two sexes in one, (From Speculative Masonry, p. 14 & Mackey's Lexicon, p. 126-129) The dual principle of "male" and "female" is represented by the "square and compass," The "compass" represents OSIRIS, the male god of the Egyptians, while the "square" is the symbol representing ISIS, the female goddess of Egypt - both are sexual symbols. (Taken from: Ragon's Cours. Philosophique, p. 102) This reference to the square and compass is significant as Copeland has placed these symbols on one of his tape covers.

The New Planetary Theology - Copeland teachings are similar to those of the early Mormon leaders, who were also Freemasons. While Mormons teach that God lives on a planet near the star Kolob -

Copeland says that his hermaphromiditic god also lives on a Mother Planet. He says:

"Heaven has a north and a south and an east and a west. Consequently, it must be a planet." (Spirit, Soul and Body I - audiotape # 01-0601, side 1)

"You don't think earth was first, do you? Huh? Well, you don't think that God made man in His image, and then made earth in some other image? There is not anything under this whole sun that's new. Are you hearing what I'm saying? This is all a copy. It's a copy of home. It's a copy of the Mother Planet. Where God lives, He made a little one just like His and put us on it." (Following the Faith of Abraham I, audiotape # 01-3001, side 1)

Reducing Deity - The Ultimate Blasphemy - Copeland describes God as: "a being that is very uncanny the way he's very much like you and me. A being that stands somewhere around 6'2, 6'3." that weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of a couple of hundred pounds or a little better, has a span of 9 inches across." (Spirit, Soul and Body I, audiotape Side 1, 1985) "God spoke Adam into existence in authority with words. These words struck Adam's body in the face. His body and God were exactly the same size." (Holy Bible, Kenneth Copeland Reference Edition 1991, 45, emphasis in original) " [Adam] was the copy, looked just like [God]. If you stood Adam upside God, they look exactly alike. If you stood Jesus and Adam, sided by side, they would look and sound exactly alike." (Authority of the Believer IV 1987, audiotape # 01-0304, side 1)

Copeland's Use of Masonic Symbols - Remember the main definition of Masonry as being "a peculiar system of Morality, veiled in Allegory, and illustrated by Symbols.'

* The Masonic symbol of Compass and Square appears on the cover of Copeland's audiotape series entitled 'How To Build Your Firm Foundation." He has placed the chief Masonic symbols of the square and compass on this album identifying what he is and knowing that most people will not understand the true meaning that he has veiled in allegory.

* More symbols of Freemasonry are incorporated into Copeland's "Shout" magazine for kids. Around Kenneth's neck is an eagle above an inverted triangle. I have seen this symbol on a Masonic certificate. The female in this Shout picture has an inverted 5 pointed star placed on her shirt. This symbol represents the "Order of the Eastern Star" which is a Masonic order for women! Is this a coincidence? Copeland has placed the main symbols of Masonry and the Eastern Star on his covers, you draw your own conclusion.

* When 33rd Degree Freemason Robert Schuller wanted to express his secret membership in the Lodge he used the 33rd Degree symbol of a double headed eagle. He sent it out to many people who probably had no idea what he was declaring to his Masonic brothers worldwide.

* 33rd Degree Freemason Oral Robert used the inverted triangle in his University logo which has a hidden Masonic design to it.

An interesting fact is that the Freemasons incorporated the symbols of the square, compass, inverted star and triangle into the street layout of Washington D.C. These are the same 3 symbols that Copeland has placed on the 2 mentioned covers.

To summarize:

1. Kenneth Copeland started work under a 33rd Degree Freemason with whom he has strong ties.

2. He claims to be 'I AM,' which is a Masonic initiation term.

3. His teaching about his hermaphroditic god match up exactly with what Masonry teaches.

4. His teaching on the size and likeness of God match up with what the early Freemason-Mormon leaders also taught.

5. Add to this the veiled symbols of Freemasonry that he has placed on 2 covers, possibly more.

There is an old saying, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck - then it must be a duck!

I did not set out with a preconceived idea and try to pin a tag on these men. I have simply come to a conclusion based on their own words, teachings and observation of their activities. I would have never suspected Copeland of being a Freemason if it were not for his heretical teachings that line up perfectly with Freemasonry. He also espouses a teaching that is pure and utter blasphemy - that God was gang raped and sodomized by homosexual Roman soldiers. If so, then God's blood would be impure and unable to redeem!
