Why I Left The Seventh-day Adventist Church

Last night, I felt moved of God to make a phone call to a friend of mine - a friend with whom I have had many conversations over the last twenty years or so. However, this "movement of the Spirit of Christ upon me," I identified as urgent! I called, and we chatted, my more or less sitting back, awaiting the movement of the Spirit, to create something that would lead to a conversation about Jesus/Yahushua the Messiah, for although this is seldom preached, and a great majority of the Christians around this world are ignorant of this fact, unless one has a saving understanding of the Lord, most especially concerning what happened at Calvary, one might know all else, but it is only the everlasting gospel [see Romans 1: 16; 1Corinthians 1: 18], both understood and obeyed, which gives the promise of eternal life, and begins the process of sanctification in the life,without which the leading of the Spirit of Christ to the fruition of that process in the life [see Revelation 2: 7, 11, 17, 26; Revelation 3: 5, 12, 21; Revelation 21: 7], we cannot be saved! We must understand clearly most especially NOW, which is a time in the history of this world, that convinces me more than I have been ever convinced, is leading us surely to the Second Coming of the Lord Yahushua Messiah, who in coming, shall destroy those who obey not the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ [see 2Thessalonaisn 1: 8, and 1Peter 4: 17], but shall bring back to the Third Heaven and the New Jerusalem [that has been constructed there by Yahushua himself for us who have overcome], all of us who absolutely love His appearing! I joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church by baptism through immersion, in the latter months [November I believe] of 1974, and was hired to be a radio evangelist [This is what God considered it for me, and thus I obeyed], in December of that year, at a salary of $2.00 per hour, as a married man, and this less than half of the salary I was making as a Taxi-driver, the only thing I was prepared for, having spent seven years as a drug and alcohol user and rock/jazz musician/percussionist. Before the Spirit of Christ spoke to me on August 19, 1974, I was a very psychologically sick man, sinning in most areas, being a lover of wine, women and song, and surely addicted to them all! Praise God, although I was using needles, injecting Heroin, Cocaine, Mandrex, Seconal, and smoking a great deal of marijuana and other drugs [LSD, MDA, peyote, all of these hallucinogens], doing all of this, together with alcohol, every day, I want you to know I was extremely sick indeed! On August 19, 9 days after my 25th birthday, the Spirit of Christ came to me as I read the Scriptures for the very first time, and explained to me clearly in what I would call a vision, that although I thought I was a nice guy, because I was never a mean person, always shared the things I had with friends, and gave money away freely, because I had to sell to use, all that I thought about my own righteousness, was absolutely incorrect, AND unless I had the character of the Lord Jesus Christ, upon death, I could never find a place in Heaven, and the Earth Made New! The knowledge that God was indeed a reality, blew my mind, and I immediately told Him to take my own will, because it had never truly given me anything godly, and in its stead, please give me His mind: and immediately the Spirit of Christ entered into me, and "I could see!" I cried for what seemed an hour, for as a young Catholic boy, I had a relationship with God, which, although childish and brief, I had cherished, until at 13 I was taught sexuality by an 18 year old girl, who thought the world of me, and taught me things I knew nothing about, but after I had learned, had become fascinated by, and could not do without anymore! I pray for her today. It took me a very short time, to be led to the SDA Church, wherein I was certain, there was greater light from Heaven, than in any of the other denominations I had dealt with, in desiring to find a denominational home, AND during this time of seeking, I was surely on fire for Jesus! As I studied and prayed, and walked hand in hand with Jesus, I learned much! One of those things that I learned, but kept only in my heart, was that Adventists for the most part, had not a very strong understanding of Calvary - they knew little about the death of the self, and the growth by creation of the Holy Spirit, of the New Man who would be after the character of Christ, which was the entire reason why Jesus died for us! You see, Jesus as God, was the only One Who could take all of humanity into Second Death, and then be called forth from there by His Father, while at the same time, bringing all of humanity whom He had brought into that death, out from it, the penalty having been paid by Him for us all, thus, all of these too, in that same call of the Father, were called out in Jesus, unto eternal life - IF THEY OVERCAME THE LUSTS OF THE FLESH, AND THE LUSTS OF THE EYES AND THE PRIDE OF LIFE, by the Holy Spirit of Christ's, indwelling us, and creating a New Man - a New Woman! Within himself, Jesus had the ability to give all of humanity eternal life, bring the New Earth into the trillions of sinless but inhabited planets which comprise the entire Universe of GOD, and forever, this Whole Universe, would be holy, beauteous, and never again would there come forth from it, rebellion of any kind! But, few actually understand that God cannot deal with the sinful flesh of mankind, but will only deal with Christ as our intermediary, as Jesus' Holy Spirit, His spiritual side, creates the New Man and New Woman who must be always growing into Christ's character, while the self continually dies daily [by not being fed by us of this world], and eternal life shall only be given to those who attain unto the character of Christ, OR are heading only in that direction, as life is taken from them, by accidents, and etc.! This truth is not only misunderstood by a majority of SDAs, but most all of the Christian denominations fail of determining this truth, and they rely on Jesus perfectly lived life on Earth, receiving that Life, as their own! BUT THIS IS NOT THE TEACHING OF THE GOSPEL, as you can see above, in that list of verses from Revelation. WE MUST OVERCOME, here on a sinful and Satan-owned world, so that God, in seeing our overcoming, can show angels who live in Heaven, and all of the population of the Whole Universe, that there shall not be ONE, allowed into eternity, who shall ever throughout eternity, bring forth another round of rebellion, as did Lucifer! We aren't very aware of the pain that our Fall in Adam, and their beloved Creator's death at Calvary, has cost the sinless throughout the Universe! This too, is the answer to every doubter, who asks, let us say, now, because the Gulf of Mexico is nearly dead begs a Christian to answer logically, "Why did God allow this to happen?" God allowed this to happen, so that more and more humans can see clearly, that mankind will always go in a direction of self-destruction! There is absolutely no way to avert this direction of sinful mankind - this is why WE NEED A SAVIOUR! And of course, we must be able to answer their questions logically, and so it is very important to be able to tell those who ask these kinds of questions, that "Yes! God knew what would happen after they created Lucifer, and then what would occur on Earth after Lucifer brought sin ONLY to Earth - although he tried to bring it all over the Universe - for only Adam, mankind's 'Prime Minister,' sinned although all the inhabited planets throughout the Universe, were tempted and that, often! Because only God can know both good AND evil without having to experience evil, AND because God in giving free will to all of Universal creation, cannot give a new creature perfection, because perfection has to be 'won,' by a life of sinlessness; therefore in allowing all of the Universe to see Satan's rulership over this solar system, all living could SEE WITH THEIR EYES, without actually taking part in sin, and thus knowing evil as Adam found by eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and so in the end of wickedness and sin both root and branches, there will then be an entire Universe in which live nonillions of sentient beings, all of whom understand both good and evil, because they have seen evil exercised on planet Earth over 6000 years, and thus none of these shall ever desire to choose evil, for they have seen the results of such a choice! However, none of these sinless ones knows that saved Earthlings will not choose evil again, if brought into the organization of sinless planets, saving in one fashion: They must see each of the Lord's Christians, on a daily basis, toil against temptation and sickness, always seeking the face of the Saviour, that not one of them shall embrace sin for pleasure sake, because the New Men and New Women have been created by the Spirit of Christ, and therefore the sinful self of each, is eternally DEAD, and shall never again come back to life!" About 6 years ago now, I left that denomination - Seventh-day Adventism - by asking the local pastor, to have my godly name to be taken from their books, as a member. The reason why I left, is although the Adventist Church calls itself the Remnant Church - hence, the only true remnant of God - there are but a few in number, from maybe 20 million or more of them by now, who could give you this above information! Am I in making this statement, saying I am fabulous? No, not in a zillion years! Rather, I left, because the denomination, in calling itself the remnant, knew little of their lack of spiritual growth! You see, for the most part, although the daily death of the "self," is taught within this denomination, for the most part, it is seldom preached about, and even more seldom practiced! At the upper echelons of the Seventh-day Adventist Church [the General Conference; the Divisional Heads; the Unions: the entire hierarchical denomination, has made from out of a denomination called by God for a specific purpose, rather, a Church that wants to throw away all of her true comprehensions given her by God, because she wants to be considered a denomination like all the rest of the Christian churches, although God has not given her that direction to pursue! She has changed the course God gave her, to a course that is being directed effectively by Satan himself, AND THAT IS WHY I LEFT HER!] Oh, by the way, the Spirit of Christ opened up a time in my chat with a longtime friend last night, and he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as His Saviour and Lord! I brought answers to his questions last night - answers which in his opinion, were perfectly logical, and thus he could not help but admit, all his fuzzy inclinations, are things of the past now. Had I remained with that Adventist denomination, I would not have been able to get through the tonnes of "selves," who are politically mixed in with dear saints! These dear saints, have a grievous problem, however: they even know to daily practice the death of self, through study and prayer: BUT, as yet, they do not understand they are following a dead church, rather than a risen Lord, for Jesus/Yahushua is fully alive, and desiring those who want eternal life more than positions in a pulpit, so that they can be seen by thousands of 'nearly-christians,' and thus considered 'great preachers'! 'Nearly,' because the upper echelons of the denomination have obscured their true message, diluting it, to suit the messages that a greater portion of the human populous want to hear and obey, that the organization might get many more members, and thus, get more and more money - money which is being given to their General Conference, because they have seen it a goodly thing, to change the Scriptures, so they might agree with those people who have the money they need!
