"It is the very powerful non-verbal
language that Rome and other anti-christ counterfeits have been
using for years to side-track us. The flying buttresses, the
gold, the silver, the statues, the paintings are all very wonderous
but our minds want to think that the religious and financial
system BEHIND the architecture are as orderly and spiritually
righteous as well. " (Lewiston:The
Edwin Mellen Press, 1984) At Brownsville, they even made a replica
of the Ark of God where "leaders" were to go and touch
be relieved of their burdens and God would anoint and bless them.
It makes me shudder now at what I used to think was so spiritual.
One time our pastor brought a bread machine to church and baked
bread in the sanctuary so we would smell the aroma causing us
to think fresh bread from heaven was coming down. Crazy, isn't
it? With the tamborines, banners, marching, stomping our feet
and dancing to the beat of drum beats we were summoning Yaweh
to fight against our enemies, even swords were lifted up. Wow,
this is really scarry to me now as I talk about it. It's special effects that's more important than the preaching of the Word. In many cases things like drama and special effects actually REPLACE the Word being preached. I think too that all this is creating false converts in the church. People are being swayed by their emotions to "accept Jesus" rather than coming to a knowledge of the truth that they are sinners in need of a Savior and only the redemptive work of Christ will save them. These days you don't need to understand any truth with your mind you can just be moved by emotion and feeling. This false revival is all based on feeling, manipulation and raising emotion and that's how it survives and how false doctrine makes it's ugly infiltration into the hearts and minds of the people. Email Inquiry to a Discernment Ministry: Jack Taylor will soon be doing a series
of meetings at the church we are currently attending. I had done
a Google search on Jack Taylor before he came to our church and
had not found much that stated any clear connection with anyone
else with Jack Taylor spoke at the church I attend about 4 years ago. His sermons caused a split in our church and many people left. It took 3 years for our church to recover and we still have problems thanks to Jack Taylor's "renewal" viewpoints. He and his wife laid hands on people who were hurting and we soon had folks laying all over the place. Once this occurred we had people from all around the Athens area filling up the church to be slain in the spirit. The desire for an experience with God became the theme of the meetings and scripture was twisted and abused. I hope there is a way that you can keep him out of your church. [Source: Ed Tarkowski http://www.ncinter.net/~ejt/ ] Hi All, During spring break in 2000, I went to
see a friend who had been in Maranatha for over 15 years. He
locked onto to Bill Hamon's School For The Prophets in Santa
Rosa Beach Florida. I was still naive as to who Bill Hamon was
and I confess I was a prophecy junkie until I found out about
how the New Order of The Latter Rain had infiltrated the church.
The services at Hamon's lair, Christian International, implimented
non-verbal imagery of water via woman dancers, clad in sequined
vests and somewhat fairytalish black loose pants flipping up
an electric blue sheet up and down trying to simulate the river.
The choreographed message along with the lyrics of the songs
was for us to "jump into the river." Fun, right...
There were flags and banners and the prayer room was riddled
with spiritual warfare maps that were territorially being interceeded
for. What's coming to mind is the concept of voodoo dolls. The
practicioner wants to take control of something or someone and
puts up a proxy. Then words are decreed and spoken to the proxy
object. In the case of Christian International and the NOLR coalition
of "apostles and prophets" that are on this bandwagon.
The roots and core doctrines of the concepts and words spoken
over the proxies are cloaked in Christian and biblical lingo.
"Hey we invoked the name of Jesus so it must be OK, right?" Email - After attending the Pensacola Revival, my former A/G church duplicated all of the banners we saw there. One service our pastor announced to us that the Lord told him to never fail to blow the shofar at every gathering of the people whether it be a church service or class. We also introduced them to the Cleansing Stream. I had to leave the church after 16 years because they were "taking" us to a new level and starting to"cross pollinating" us with ministeries from other revival churches...... Pretty soon, our sermons became motivational speeches..... We were told that God could give us new inventions through dreams and prosper us so we could prosper the Kingdom. We were taught to stay under the pastor's spiritual or all hell could break out in our lives and we were also told that we were part of the end time spiritual army. We have always had the prayer circles... The reason I stayed so long in this environment was because I could not imagine my pastor being deceived. To this day, I know that he believes he is hearing from God. He is a devoted man of God but I have come to realize that he is very religious. Bible reading was encouraged with all us using the same reading schedule and at the end of the year if you completed the reading, your name was put on a plaque call the Bible Reading Hall of Fame... Fasting became a ritual and everyone was expected to fast every Wednesday and other special called times... Six years ago, you could have never convinced me that this could have happened to our church! I left behind many wonderful loving christian brothers and sisters who will follow the pastor wherever he leads. [Source: K ] Miracle man and glitter dispenser Bob Shattles
(ran Revival Fires Ministry) died of cancer his body shot through
with it. God is in everyones face reminding us we are nothing
but corruption and dust but they won't hear. He was supposed
to have a "special anointing" - however in the end
he sought surgery and chemo. Just like us! [ 8.18.2001 - GRFisherNJ@aol.com
