My own call on this is that if God decided to make Balaam's ass talk, whatever would stop Him using Mel Gibson (totally without regard to all of Mel's personal drives, agenda and motives), to present a timely Divine message to people. From what I've read and heard to date, I'd say the film could rank as both a premier 'reality-break', and a mighty evangelism tool, in this pagan, deconstructionist, socially engineered world. Mel's motivations are of scant consequence, as are deliberations upon then. Instead, let's pray that our awesome Father will call, and the Holy Spirit will hover over, ALL who attend any showing of the film. Lets pray that the eyes, minds, hearts and spirits of all the viewers are opened to the sacrifice, redemption and victory within the gospel message. Opened - to the reality of sin, and the power of the blood. There's more, of course. Add to this list as the Spirit leads you. Just a thought. |
