There is an Extremely Severe Drought in progress throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and the surrounding areas. The pastures have NO feed for the livestock. The wild creatures are also suffering because there is NO feed for them.. Water ponds are dry, or drying up. Governmental Observation Well levels are declining. Domestic Wells of long standing are going dry. Livestock feed is being trucked into the area at greatly inflated prices - exhibiting the greed of those who are taking advantage of the desperation of those enduring the "Drought". All the land is "Tinder Box" dry, and the wind is blowing dust all around. Wildfire is a constant threat, and many have already claimed lives. The following article was written to encourage the people of Texas to repentance so that this "Drought" will be ended. Please pray the people of Texas will repent, and Almighty God will have mercy and open the fountains of heaven to once again nourish the land. May you be richly blessed.....

Could there be a “reason” we are experiencing this “Severe, Extreme, Drought”?? Lets look at a little Texas History and just some of the “stains” our “forefathers” have left behind them:

· 1700’s and on - Native American Indians migrated from eastern territory to this area to escape the harrassment of new “Settlements”.
· As “Settler’s” moved into the “Texas” region Battles ensued over possession of land…lots of innocent blood was poured out on the ground.
· More Opportunists came seeking land.
· 1836 – “Texas” was “taken” from the Spanish/Mexicans – lots of innocent blood was poured out on the ground.
· 1838 – 1839 - Trail of Tears – a devastatingly brutal episode of "relocation" of Native American Indians to "reservations" in Oklahoma, which caused a tremendous amount of innocent blood to be poured out on the ground. Texas was indirectly involved because many Native American “Indians” residing in Texas were also relocated to the “Reservations” in Okalahoma.
· 1836 – 1845 – Texas was an “Independent Nation” – a “free wheeling” Republic – complete with much corruption and “six gun” government. Lots of innocent blood was poured out on the ground.
· December 29, 1845 = the U.S. President signed statehood documents accepting “Texas” into the Union as the 28th state - Much Significant “Corruption” in Governments was the norm…
· 1860’s – Civil War; the new state of “Texas” joined the “Confederacy with the Rebel Cry!” The “Civil War” was:

1. Direct out & out “Rebellion” of the people of the “southern” states against the “God given” Constitution of the United States

2. Direct out & out “Rebellion” of the people of the “southern” states against God’s Precious Gift of this “great nation” to “ALL” the people who were living here…

3. Direct out & out “Rebellion” of the people of the “southern states” against the “Founding Father’s of Independence” who forged this country on their knees, before God Almighty, seeking His Wisdom on how to guide this newly formed country…

· In out and out “Rebellion”, Texas participated in Blockade Running out of Galveston, against the “Union” Navy: Running cotton and slaves out of Texas… Running Supplies back in to Galveston to support the Confederate Army…
· In out and out “Rebellion”, Texas Refused to eliminate “slavery” upon Lee’s surrender bringing the end of the Civil War. Texans continued violently fighting in the southern part of the state for at least a month after the conclusion of the Civil War was announced..

The Civil War and the subsequent era was spawned in the spirits of “Division”, “Seperation”, “Rebellion” Lust, Greed, and Fear.

Lawlessness reigned in Texas during the Reconstruction Period following the Civil War. A Mercenary Mindset pervaded the people! Every man for himself! Every form of human depravity ran rampant including, but not limited to: Murder; Slavery; White Supremacy; Outlaws; Robbers; Highwaymen; Cattle Rustlers; Horse Stealers; Klu Klux Klan raiding; Confederate loyalty; The Rebel Yell; Manipulation and/or Dishonoring of Treaties; Terrorist Outlaw Gangs; Intimidation of White settlers; Intimidation of Black “freedmen”; Intimidation of Native American Indians; Intimidation of Hispanics; Deception; Carpet baggers; swindlers; corrupt governments; etc. Blood poured out onto the ground all over Texas for decades!

· The Ku Klux Klan emerged in Hunt County. Soon a “Klaven” formed in Sulphur Springs, in Hopkins County. Hangings; beatings; murder; rape; and any other form of brutality you can imagine was the “rule” of “law”.

· The people of Texas "used" “Religion” to “control”; “intimidate”; “brutalize”; “murder”; as well as to “exhonerate crimes committed”. These were most Certainly NOT behaviors in keeping with the teachings of the “Bible” that so many Texans “claim” to believe in… and certainly NOT behaviors motivated by just plain “human decency”…

· 1860’s – early 1900’s - Outlaws and “Opportunism”: the continued “Mercenary Mindset” pervaded…
· Dalton Gang – committed one of the bloodiest Bank Robberies right down town in Longview!
· An Outlaw by the name of Lee harbored in Hunt County – he was a cold blooded killer, killing blacks with no reason other than he possessed a “trigger” or a “rope”… He instigated growing dehumanizing of blacks and initiated the first “Ku Klux Klan” Klaven in Texas…
· Butch Cassidy & Kid Curry hid out in Texas
· Bonnie and Clyde operated in Texas
· Innocent blood continued to be poured out on the ground in Texas.
· 1901 –Oil was discovered at Spindletop, in Beaumont, Texas and thus spawned the great “oil tycoon” era, motivated by Greed, and more Greed. Of course, more innocent blood was poured out on the ground in Texas.
· 1920’s – Dust Bowl – a severe “Drought” – a physical “consequence” for all the “unrepented” bloodshed???
· 1930’s – Depression – Economic “Drought” as well as physical “Drought” – an economic and physical consequence for all the “unrepented” bloodshed???
· 1940’s – World War II – an 87 year old Texan who was a WWII Veteran said “…I was at the Battle of the Bulge, and that is where I learned the Truth about God, and the world in general…the Texans used to sing out: Hail, all hail, Texas, the Great and Mighty State - and to hell with the rest of the 48!! Texas showed it’s great and mighty self-centered and “independent” attitude…”
· 1956 – Severe, Extreme Drought – a physical consequence for all the “unrepented” bloodshed???
· 1963 – President John F. Kennedy was brutally assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Blood again shed in Texas.
Much more blood has been shed in Texas... actually too much to be listed...

TEXAS HAS A GREAT and LONG TERM HISTORY OF LAWLESSNESS, BLOODSHED, REBELLION, LUST, GREED, SELF GRATIFICATION, SELF INDULGENCE, and MERCENARY MINDSET (Every man for himself – play for the highest bidder, no morality, no loyalty, corrupt government, etc.)…. TEXAS ALSO HAS A LONG HISTORY OF “DROUGHT”… THE GROUND ITSELF CONTINUES TO CRY OUT… IS GOD TRYING TO GET OUR ATTENTION?? IS GOD TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING??

It appears that the Forefathers of Texas have left a legacy of “Curse” upon Texas. Take a look at the definition of “Curse” : 1. opposite of bless. 2. misfortune; calamity; trouble. 3. an evil that has been evoked upon one. 4. the cause of evil, misfortune, injury, destruction, or trouble.

The Independent, Rebellious, Lawless and Self Indulgent behaviors of our Forefathers has left a great Stain on Texas – definition of Stain: 1. penetrate into. 2. blemish. 3. to bring reproach or dishonor upon. 4. to mark; to taint; to tarnish; to debase; to defile; to contaminate; to pollute.

It is time we “Repent” of the “Stains of our Forefathers”!… it is time we turn from our “self indulgent” ways… it is time we “Amend” the Curses left upon us by our Forefathers… it is time we “Amend” the Curses that have been brought upon our land and our lineage by the deeds and words of those who lived, or occupied the land, before us…. It is time we claim back what has been stolen from us by the “Rebellious Attitudes”, and “Independent Outlaw Spirits” of our Forefathers… It is time we see the Truth… It is time we use the God given “authority” we have been given to put things in “right order” so that our lives can be prosperous. It is time we “clean up” the Stains of our Forefathers… It is time we get into a “right” relationship with our Creator… It is time we “Repent” or “Amend” the innocent blood that has Stained “Texas” by the lawlessness and ruthlessness of our “Forefathers”… it is time we “break” all the Generational Curses that have been allowed to haunt our land and our lives! It is time to get on our face before Almighty God and ask His forgiveness for ALL the innocent blood that has Stained Texas. He promises to “heal” our land…”if” we will do this!! His promise is “conditional” – we must do our part!

Nehemiah 9:2 –
2And the Israelites separated themselves from all foreigners and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their “fathers”.

Nehemiah 1:6 –
6Let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to listen to the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You day and night for the Israelites, Your servants, confessing the sins of the Israelites, which we “have sinned against You”. Yes, “I and my “father's house” have sinned”.

II Chronicles 7:14 –
13If I shut up heaven so no rain falls, or if I command locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,
14“If” My people… who are called by MY name… shall humble themselves (repent), seek My face… and pray… and turn away from their wicked ways, “then” I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and I will heal their land!

Amos 4:7 -
7And also I withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest. I caused it to rain upon one city and caused it not to rain upon another city; one piece of ground was rained upon, and the piece upon which it did not rain withered.

Deuteronomy 8:11- 18 -
11Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His precepts, and His statutes which I command you today,

Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine...

Job 41:11
Who has first given to Me, that I should repay him? Whatever is under the whole heavens is Mine.
On April 30th, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln, called for a day of fasting and prayer, in his proclamation as follows:

“…It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God......and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord....We have been the recipients of the choicest blessing of heaven. We have been preserved these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation ever has grown; BUT WE HAVE FORGOTTEN GOD! We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some wisdom or virtue of our own…”

President Lincoln was calling our nation to repentance through fasting and prayer. GOD DID HEAR AND HE ANSWERED THAT NATIONAL DAY OF FASTING AND PRAYER. The result?? The nation was preserved from Rebellion, Seperation, and Division…

Almighty God has used “Drought” many times over, throughout history, to get people’s attention. How much more clear does it have to be?? Texas was literally “burning up” on the first day of the New Year 2006 - and where were most of the residents of Texas?? Most people in Texas were watching Football games, eating chips, and drinking beer or soda. Wouldn’t it have been more profitable for “Texans” if they “ALL” would have been on their knees asking God to forgive us “all” for our personal as well as generational transgressions against our Father in heaven?? What is it going to take before Texans get a clue and start to truly humble themselves from the “Independent” spirit they have inherited from their Forefathers?? Or, will Texans just continue to say to Almighty God…”Don’t mess with Texas?”

This current Drought is His way of “accommodating” the continued request that He not “mess with Texas”! Maybe today, as they read this, many Texans will now bow their knee in “Repentance” before Him to diligently ask “Forgiveness” to “Amend” the “Curses” staining Texas by the innocent blood that was shed for decades by their Forefather’s “Rebellion and Lawlessness”… which will then put Texas in “Corrected Status” with God, and end this drought… If Texans do not humble themselves, I am afraid we are in for a long, long period of God’s accommodation of our “attitude” “…Don’t mess with Texas.”
