A Whole New Study on the Alpha Course

PLEASE NOTE:
We began this project by writing a very large document simply called Alpha - the Unofficial Guide. To make it more manageable for readers, we split it down into two volumes called WORLD and CHURCH respectively. During this process we realised that both volumes needed further Alpha quotes and further polishing, so we did not publish them but instead created a summary volume called OVERVIEW.

Hence the OVERVIEW volume is essentially a summary of two larger books, although the OVERVIEW volume also now includes some advanced material which does not appear in the others. (Some of the reasons for creating the OVERVIEW are listed in its Preface. The OVERVIEW also enabled us to make public the key problems with Alpha long before we could safely have published the main volumes.) Once the OVERVIEW volume reached a decent level of maturity, we returned to work on the main volumes.
