Well, 3/3/3 has come and gone and nothing dire or remarkable
happened as predicted by Benny Hinn. Here is part of his
prophecy on 12/30/02:
Wednesday,
the Wednesday before the 20th would be the 19th, correct, no
the 18th of December at 2 am I awakened to a prophecy ringing
in my heart. I was hearing myself prophesy. ... I will
tell you this, Satan is ready to unleash horror and terror on
this earth as never before. But I heard the Lord say, literally
I heard Him speak those words, He said, "Dark days are ahead
for the world, and bright days for my people." (Applause)
I was prophesying it. "Those who know me and those
who walk with me will know light and beauty, says the Lord."
God began to speak these words. ... March 3rd. I just heard
March 3rd in my ears. What's March 3rd? What day
is that? We don't know. I don't know what March 3rd
what day it would be? I'm not sure what I would be, I don't
know what crusade or service or maybe I'm not anywhere. But I'm
hearing the Lord say that to me. (Benny Hinn, TBN "Praise
The Lord", 12/30/02)
No "rivers of blood" occurred as prophesied by Benny
Hinn later on TBN:
Last night I watched the Miracle Network here in Manila, which
is the Asian arm of the Trinity Broadcasting network. Now to
those of you who are from America, most of you are all too familiar
with the false teachings and downright unbiblical spectacles
that are regularly aired on the programming of TBN and, thankfully,
I know many of you are appalled at what some in the church are
teaching . Well, false prophet Benny Hinn is at it again and
this time, God Himself awoke Benny with a prophesy that is
frightening to say the least. That's right God told Hinn that
"rivers of blood" will come in the near future unless
fervent prayer is exercised on behalf of TBN partners and the
Body of Christ in general. He told Rod Parsley on this program
that great judgment is coming and this is in addition to the
fire, shaking, shuddering, and raining that is also supposed
to come upon the church as seen in Hinn's past dreams. He
said in closing that Mar. 3 will be a day to be remembered because
God personally told him that He would do "something"
super supernatural that day that was not for the pastors like
Parsley or Hinn but for regular church people. We should
of course get ready for whatever is coming by sowing a healthy
financial seed into these guys ministries, and that almost goes
without saying these days from them. (Benny Hinn, TBN, as quoted
in an email by a viewer on 2/27/03)
Hinn apparently knew of the New Agers plans to pray for "global
consciousness" prior to his 12/30/02 show on TBN, or whatever
spirit whispered this date to him was not the Holy Spirit --
take your pick. It seems that he could not have known about
any plan for the New Apostolic Reformation people to call for
prayer on that same day as there is no evidence that the NAR
people were planning anything as early as 12/02. So Hinn
must have either been notified of the New Age "prayer"
day and decided to make a "prophecy" to coincide with
that date, or he got his information from the spirit of the air,
or both. This should cause all Christians to again have
the opportunity to reject Benny Hinn, once and for all, as a
heretic false prophet. Hinn has a long track record of
false prophecy. In any case, no New Age global consciousness
occurred on 3/3/3, at least none that was reported (I'd be satisfied
if they achieved consciousness!).
All we are left with is false apostles like Ted Haggard leading
Christians into ecumenical and interfaith unity with New Agers.
DITC urged Christians NOT to pray together with New Agers
who planned for a long time to "pray" on 03/03/03.
Ted Haggard of the World
Prayer Team, a ministry of the New
Apostolic Reformation and the false apostles under C. Peter Wagner,
urged
Christians to pray on 03/03/03 at 3:33
pm for 3 minutes (how superstitious!) on the same "Global
Consciousness Day" as New Agers
because that should "be enough to cause Christians to pray".
Nothing happened of any importance on that day out of the ordinary
reports of terrorist activities and another in an almost daily
series of bombings in Israel. On 3/3/3 nine people were
killed. On 3/4/3 14 were killed. An so it goes. This
is not a fulfillment of the "rivers of blood" predicted
by Hinn. This is false prophecy.
Of course any true believer is always in prayer continually (1
Thes. 5:17) but we can thank the Lord for the prayers of a few
righteous men who prayed that God would not dignify Benny Hinn
with anything remotely resembling a fulfillment of another in
a long
line of false prophecies, and that
the plans New Agers and false apostles would come to nothing.
The lesson? God is not a respecter of numbers of people
praying or dates on which they pray. The effectual fervent prayer
of a righteous man availeth much. (Jas. 5:16b) One
righteous man's prayer is worth a million self-indulgent, superstitious
prayers of people who allow false apostles to dictate the direction
of the Church. Let's stop letting the world and false apostles
lead, and follow Christ!
