Matthew 24:24 -- For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall DECEIVE the very elect. NOTICE THE SIGNS AND WONDERS ARE USED TO DECEIVE. 2 Thessalonians 2:8-10 -- And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is AFTER THE WOKING OF SATAN with all POWER and SIGNS and LYING WONDERS, And with all DECEIVABLENESS.... NOTICE THAT SATAN WORKS LYING SIGNS AND WONDERS. THEY ARE LYING BECAUSE THEY BARE WITNESS TO A LIE --Verse 11. There are many today who have great "miracle crusades" but teach outright heresy. Who would give these people miracle-working power to back up false doctrine? God or the Devil? God's miracles were always used to bare witness to the truth (Mark 16:20; Hebews 2:3-4). Revelation 13:13-14 -- And he doeth great WONDERS, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And DECEIVETH them that dwell on the earth BY MEANS OF THOSE MIRACLES which he had power to do. AGAIN THE MIRACLES ARE USED TO DECEIVE PEOPLE. Revelation 16:14 -- For they are THE SPIRITS OF DEVILS, WORKING MIRACLES... THE SUPERNATURAL POWERS BEHIND SOME MIRACLES ARE DEVILS (EVIL SPIRITS). Revelation 19:20 -- And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought MIRACLES before him, with which he DECEIVED them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. THE FALSE PROPHET WILL USE MIRACLES TO DECEIVE PEOPLE INTO FOLLOWING THE ANTICHRIST. 2 Timothy 3:1 -- This know also, that in THE LAST DAYS perilous times shall come. In the last days people are desribed as : "Having a form of godliness" Verse 5 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Verse 7 2 Timothy 3:8 -- Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also RESIST THE TRUTH: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. HOW DID THEY RESIST THE TRUTH? ---- WITH LYING SIGNS AND WONDERS! Exodus 7:10-11 -- And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the SORCERERS: now the MAGICIANS of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their ENCHANTMENTS. SATAN HAS ALWAYS USED MIRACLES TO DECEIVE PEOPLE AND LEAD THEM INTO ERROR. BUT MANY CHRISTIANS TODAY NAIVELY ASSUME THAT ALL OF THE MIRACLES THEY SEE AND HEAR ABOUT ARE FROM GOD. ARE WE TO ASSUME THAT SATAN HAS STOPPED TRYING TO DECEIVE PEOPLE? IF ALL THE MIRACLES THAT WE HEAR ABOUT ARE FROM GOD -- WHERE ARE SATAN'S LYING ONES? DO WE NOT THINK THAT SATAN WOULD TRY AND DECEIVE GODS PEOPLE? Acts 8:9-11 -- But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city USED SORCERY, and BEWITCHED (Deceived) the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: TO WHOM THEY ALL GAVE HEED, from the least to the greatest, SAYING, THIS MAN IS THE GREAT POWER OF GOD. And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had BEWITCHED them with SORCERIIES. NOTICE THAT GOD'S PEOPLE THOUGHT THAT THIS MAN WAS PERFORMING SUPERNATURAL ACTS BY GOD'S POWER, BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY DONE THROUGH SATANS OCCULTIC POWER. Are we to suppose that "all" so-called miracles in the Charismatic/Word of Faith movement today are from God? Wouldn't Satan try to deceive Charismatics also? |
