In the charismatic Catholic magazine New Evangelization 2000, a clear testimony of Roman heresy was given. Consider the following carefully: "Last year I spent a week at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery
in Birmingham, Alabama, home of Mother Angelica's Eternal Word
Television Network. Early one morning, a voice over the loudspeaker
announced: 'Mother asks everyone to leave the chapel immediately.'
Outside, Mother Angelica explained that a possible gas leak had
been discovered in the building. As Mother talked she kept looking
toward the chapel, finally inquiring, 'Where is Jesus? Where
is Jesus?' Soon two sisters emerged from the chapel Catholics believe that round wafer is the literal body of Christ Jesus whom they eat every time they receive the Eucharist. They claim that it invigerates them. Who is this Jesus that is represented by a sun shaped wafer? Believers believe that Jesus is alive, sitting at the right hand of God. Mark 16:19 "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God." Jesus is represented by unleavened bread which can still be bought: Marzos. True Jewish Matzos break into three pieces which represents the Triune God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Why does it have to be unleavened bread, not sun shaped wafers? 1 Corinthians 5:8 "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread." If the wafer is the literal body of Christ Jesus, you would be eating yourself when applying this Scripture. The Bible is consistent under all circumstances and this Catholic concept does not work. |
