In the history of faithless translations, the new Holman Christian
Standard Bible stands as the latest addition to the line of corrupted
translations. In the introduction to this version, they plainly
state that they use the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, fifth
edition for the Hebrew and the Nestle Aland Text, 27th edition
and the United Bible Societies 4th corrected edition for the
Greek. Right at the outset we see that this entire version is
under girded by three corrupted manuscripts. As you will see
in this comparison of fifty verses, that the Holman Christian
Standard Bible is anything but a standard. It will agree wholeheartedly
with the other false versions plus the New American Bible of
the Roman Catholic Institution and the New World Translation
of the Jehovahs Witnesses which you will see in this comparison.
Any Christian who uses this book as their version of choice will
be using a cursed book because God does not bless the corruption
of His word and no Christian will ever grow in the faith using
a false version. Once again you will see how superior the King
James Bible is over all these false translations. The King James
verse will come first with underlining of the part of the verse
which has been tampered with.
(KJB) - King James Bible
(HCSB) - Holman Christian Standard Bible
(NAB) - New American Bible of the Roman Catholic Institution
(NWT) - New World Translation of the Jehovahs Witnesses
Matthew 5:22
(KJB) But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever
shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council:
but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell
fire.
(HCSB) But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother
will be subject to judgment. And whoever says to his brother,
'Fool!' will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, 'You
moron!' will be subject to hellfire.
(NAB) What I say to you is: everyone who grows angry with his
brother shall be liable to judgment; any man who uses abusive
language toward his brother shall be answerable to the Sanhedrin,
and if he holds him in contempt he risks the fires of Gehenna.
(NWT) However, I say to YOU that everyone who continues wrathful
with his brother will be accountable to the court of justice;
but whoever addresses his brother with an unspeakable word of
contempt will be accountable to the Supreme Court; whereas whoever
says, You despicable fool! will be liable to the
fiery Gehenna.
Matthew 19:9
(KJV) And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife,
except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth

sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.
(NAB) I now to say to you, whoever divorces his wife (lewd conduct

the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."
(NWT) I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except on
the ground of fornication, and marries another commits adultery."
Matthew 20:16
(KJB) So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many
be called, but few chosen.
(HCSB) "So the last will be first, and the first last."
(NAB) Thus the last shall be first and the first shall be last
(NWT) In this way the last ones will be first, and the first
ones last.
Mark 6:11
(KJB) And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when
ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony
against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable
for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that
city.
(HCSB) If any place does not welcome you and people refuse
to listen to you, when you leave there, shake the dust off your
feet as a testimony against them.
(NAB) If any place will not receive you or hear you, shake its
dust from your feet in testimony against them as you leave.
(NWT) And wherever a place will not receive you nor hear you,
on going out from there shake off the dirt that is beneath your
feet for a witness to them"
Mark 7:8

(KJB) But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not
what manner of spirit ye are of. (56) or the Son of man is not
come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went
to another village.
(HCSB) But He turned and rebuked them, (56) and they went
to another village.
(NAB) He turned toward them to only reprimand them {56} Then
they set off for another town
(NWT) But he turned and rebuked them {56} So they went to a different
village
John 9:4
(KJB) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is
day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
(HCSB) We must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is
day. Night is coming when no one can work.
(NAB) We must do the deeds of him who sent me while it is day.
The night comes on when no one can work.
(NWT) We must work the works of him that sent me while it is
day; the night is coming when no man can work.
John 11:41
(KJB) Then they took away the stone from the place where the

(HCSB) Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn
an oath to him to seat one of his descendants on his throne.
(NAB) He was a prophet and knew that God had sworn to him that
one of his descendants would sit upon his throne.
(NWT) Therefore, because he was a prophet and knew that God had
sworn to him with an oath that he would seat one from the fruitage
of his loins upon his throne.
Acts 24:15
(KJB) And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow,
that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just
and unjust.
(HCSB) And I have a hope in God, which these men themselves
also accept, that there is going to be a resurrection, both of
the righteous and the unrighteous.
(NAB) And I have the same hope in God as these men have that
there is to be a resurrection of the good and the wicked alike.
(NWT) and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves
also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both
the righteous and the unrighteous.

Romans 11:6
(KJB) And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise
grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no
more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
(HCSB) - Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise
grace ceases to be grace.
(NAB) But if the choice is by grace, it is not because of their
works-otherwise grace would not be grace
(NWT) Now if it is by undeserved kindness, it is no longer due
to works; otherwise, the undeserved kindness no longer proves
to be undeserved kindness.

since you are unleavened. For Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
(NAB) Get rid of the old yeast to make of yourselves fresh dough,

These fifty verses are just the tip of the iceberg concerning
the corruption found in this latest per-version. You can take
the King James Bible and compare the Holman Standard Christian
Bible to it and you will see that it is just another massively
corrupt version which totally agrees with the Roman Catholic
and Jehovahs Witnesses versions. The footnotes in this
version cast complete doubt on the authenticity of many passages
which parallels the New King James version in doubt casting.
With all these foot notes stating that certain verses do not
appear in other manuscripts will only send much confusion into
the life of a Christian and will cast doubt as to if we have
the word of God today. THIS IS SATANS STRATEGY! (Gen 3:1
KJV) Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field
which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea,
hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
The following verses have been bracketed and/or footnoted
in the HCSB as being omitted in the corrupted Greek texts. They
are omitted in the modern versions but the HCSB keeps them in
but footnotes and brackets them casting doubt on their authenticity.

Summary
As you have plainly seen the Holman Christian Standard Bible
is nothing new. It is just another rewrite of the Gnostic Scriptures
which were corrupted in Alexandria, Egypt in the second century
and transmitted through the ages by the Roman Catholic Institution.
The HCSB also agrees totally with the Jehovahs Witness
Bible which means you cant get anymore corrupt than that.
Why would any Christian want to use a Bible which the Jehovahs
Witnesses use? If you are a true Christian, then God does not
want you to use anything which is corrupt, no matter who endorses
it. Remember, famous pastors and theologians are paid big money
by the publishers to endorse false translations and they are
happy to do it. Whenever you see a new translation with many
endorsements on the back cover, then realize they all made a
nice trip to the bank. Well, as we have seen the major differences
in the four translations offered, we can safely conclude that
God endorses the King James Bible because of its purity and that
is the only endorsement you can trust.
The King James Bible is the only Bible which glorifies the
Lord Jesus Christ instead of attacking Him and the doctrines
which are untouched in the KJB. At the time of this writing,
I have been a Christian for 24 years and have used the corrupted
versions but was oblivious to their corruption. God brought me
to the truth in 1986 and I have never had the least desire to
change from my King James Bible, simply because, it, being the
real word of God, has brought stability into my Christian walk.
Every new version is written differently which means Christians
will never find stability in their understanding of Scripture.
I pity the poor Christian who uses ten versions of these false
bibles and tries to come to understanding of the Scriptures.
I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt, that all you need is
the King James Bible and when you adopt that as your only Bible,
the Holy Spirit will begin to open up your understanding, simply
because He cannot bless corruption, and neither should we.

Addendum:
The word fornication is found in the KJV fourty
four times. Guess how many time you will find it in the HCSB?
Zero! Not one single time. Fornication isn't even a "so
called" archaic word. So why remove it?
(KJV)1st John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are
one.
(HCSB)1st John 5:7 For there are three that testify:
It would seem that the HCSB editors didn't consider the most
powerful verse in the Bible about the Godhead (Holy Trinity)
to have enough validity to remain in the scriptures. The HCSB
completely removes these words of the utmost importance from
this verse: "in heaven, The Father, the Word, and the Holy
Ghost: and these three are one."
I also found certain verses which changed meaning completely
by changing circumstances in the HCSB. For instance:
(KJV) Exodus 14:25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they
drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from
the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the
Egyptians.
(HCSB) Exodus 14:25 He caused their chariot wheels to swerve
and made them drive with difficulty. Lets get away
from Israel, the Egyptians said, because the Lord
is fighting for them against Egypt!
Can someone please tell me if they see a difference in swerving
and completely falling off???

The Holman Christian Standard Bible is the latest of the new
versions to be found. On the Holman website they proudly announce
"This fresh rendering of God's Word is translated directly
from the original biblical languages (emphasis added) with a
reader-friendly style geared to contemporary English usage."
OK, lets see if it is translated from the Original Languages
which by the way would be Textus Receptus & the Hebrew Old
Testament...
FYI, the front of this book tells me that I need to make the
following statement before I quote these verses out of the Holman
CSB:

The one verse I have been able so far to narrow down as the indicator
of weather or not we have a counterfeit Bible is (KJV)1st Corinthians
1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that (1) perish
foolishness; but unto us which (2) are saved it is the power
of God. The verse in the HCSB is quoted as: 1st Corinthians 1:18
For to those who are (1) perishing the message of the cross is
foolishness, but to us who are (2) being saved it is Gods
power.
Using my trusty Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible and
my Greek & Hebrew bible text taken from the original, lets
look at if this particular verse was taken from the original
autographs by Holman. We will focus on two things here. First
about those who are lost (perishing) and then on the part concerning
Salvation (Saved or being Saved)
(1) Does the original say perishing or does it say them that
perish? The word used in the Greek here is: apollumi, ap-ol'-loo-mee;
to destroy fully (reflex. to perish, or lose), lit. or fig.:--destroy,
die, lose, mar, perish. It is a verb that shows action, so perishing
or perish could be used without loss of meaning.
(2) Does the original say we are saved or are we in the process
of being saved? In other words a continual work. The word used
in the Greek here is: sozo, sode'-zo; from a prim. sos (contr.
for obsol. saos, "safe"); to save, i.e. deliver or
protect (lit. or fig.):--heal, preserve, save (self), do well,
be (make) whole. It is also a verb that has a finality about
it and not a process. So with no mistake about it we ARE SAVED
and not in the process of it.
Then the following is just another example of the same perversion
of the Word:
(KJV) 2nd Corinthians 2:15 For we are unto God a sweet savour
of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
(HCSB) 2nd Corinthians 2:15 For to God we are the fragrance of
Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are
perishing
The HCSB again argues with the finality of our salvation.
Reading further on I came across an instance that totally confuses
me about the HCSB. I direct your attention to the following verses
that the bible says allows or makes possible our salvation:
(KJV) Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 2:9 Not of
works, lest any man should boast.
(HCSB) Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith,
and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift-- 2:9 not from
works, so that no one can boast.
This is what I can't figure out. First they say we are being
saved in 1st Corinthians and then as a direct contradiction in
Ephesians say we "are" saved even though the word saved
is the same in the Greek (sozo) for 1st Corinthians, 2nd Corinthians
& Ephesians!
Here is an interesting concept... Since it's unpopular these
days to tell an adulterous woman that the Bible says they should
not remarry, otherwise they are making the new spouse commit
adultery, lets just take it from the text of the Bible and everybody
can be happy. "and whoso marrieth her which is put away
doth commit adultery." has been completely removed from
the HCSB.
(KJV) Matthew 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away
his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another,
committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away
doth commit adultery. |
