Re: The Christian Channel Promotes Anti-Trinitarian “Armstrongism”

Dear Gentlemen:

I am contacting you concerning a serious problem with the programming on The Christian Channel Network. Specifically, The Christian Channel is airing the antiTrinitarian and hence anti-Christian doctrines of four Herbert W. Armstrong splinter groups whose doctrines are recognized by Christian scholars as unorthodox.

The Christian Channel describes its “Mission Statement” as being to “offer Canadians the best Christian content from around the world.” And in its “Statement of Faith” is included, “There is one God, eternally existent in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.” Those are both very fine! And it’s “Channel Facts,” where these statements are made insists that “all programming is subject to the Statement of Faith, which, again, is great in theory! So why have four anti-Trinitarian programs on its program line up? Sadly, the Christian Channel is not living up to its own standards, particularly, with respect to the requirement that its broadcasters MUST subscribe to the doctrine of the Blessed Trinity.

The four offenders are: Armor of God (Church of God International), Beyond Today
(United Church of God), Tomorrow’s World (Living Church of God), and Key of David
(Philadelphia Church of God).

Any Christ honoring Christian should be concerned and offended at these organizations’ attacks on the Blessed Trinity, as well as other orthodox doctrines. Example: “The Trinity is false doctrine. It’s a damnable lie. It’s Pagan. It doesn’t exist. It is heretical. It blinds people. It’s Satan’s greatest deception. Satan has the whole world believing in a Trinity. The Trinity is contrary to scripture.” The United Church of God even uses many
of the same out of context quotes that the Jehovah’s Witnesses use in their
BLASPHEMOUS booklet published in 1989. “Should You Believe in the Trinity?”
(Ambassador Bible Center, Handouts/Study Material, Quotes about the Trinity, pages 1-
2, 2002, 2003).

Also, The United Church of God was not allowed to air its program on Radio Pulpit because they would not sign a statement agreeing to the Blessed Trinity. (United News, Vol. 6, No. 4, July 2000). What a fine example for Christian television and Radio to follow.

You can read some of the anti-Trinitarian articles by the United Church of God, the Church of God International and the Living Church of God on the following website under “Anti-Trinitarian Articles” http://www.zoomnet. net

Many Christian television/radio stations are realizing that these organizations are not orthodox. The Armor of God and Tomorrow’s World have been cancelled from INSP Networks. World Harvest Television also canceled the Armor of God. The United Church of God’s program Prophecy Today has been cancelled from two Christian radio stations in Louisiana.

My concern is that by airing programs of organizations, when examined more closely are actually unorthodox, people are deceived. This deception is enhanced when programs to promote their ministry are placed among well-known evangelical ministers and ministries.

In closing, having these anti-Trinitarian programs on the Christian Channel is equivalent to giving acceptance to a program by the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Gentlemen, something must be done guickly.

My prayer is that you will investigate what I have written and documented, and stay true to your “Statement of Faith.” I hope to hear soon that you have removed these programs before many others are misled.

Very respectfully in Christ,
