From Cutting Edge Ministries:
I. Fundamentalist Christians everywhere likely cringed when
they heard the sad news: Bob Jones
III, Chairman of Bob Jones University, endorsed Mormon Mitt Romney
for President!
Once again, Bob Jones University leadership cannot distinguish
political and spiritual fact from
fiction! Remember, Bob Jones University invited Candidate George
W. Bush to speak on campus during
the 2000 Presidential election, ignoring the known reality that
Bush was a Skull & Bones adept.
NEWS BRIEF: "Bob Jones III endorses Romney for president",
Greenville Online, October 16, 2007
"Dr. Bob Jones III, chancellor of the fundamentalist
Christian university that bears his name, is
looking past his religious differences with Gov. Mitt Romney
and endorsing the Mormon for the
Republican nomination for president ... 'This is all about beating
Hillary', Jones said. 'And I
just believe that this man has the credentials both personally
and ideologically in terms of his
view about what American government should be to best represent
the rank and file of conservative
Americans. If it turns out to be Guiliani and Hillary, we've
got two pro- choice candidates, and
that would be a disaster'."
Chancellor Jones III needs to understand one of the basic
tenets of Cutting Edge Ministries, i.e.,
that 'there's not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrat
and Republican Parties"
(Alabama Governor George Wallace). Dr. Jones needs to understand
that both Democrat and Republican
are equally committed to the New World Order! In other words,
Hillary Clinton, George Bush, Teddy
Kennedy, Rudy Guiliani and Mitt Romney are equally committed
to the coming New World Order. All
the bantering back and forth between these two major parties
is just the outworking of the
Dialectic Struggle - the planned conflict which will lead to
the planned New Order.
Now, Chancellor Jones is asked about whether the Mormon religion
of Mitt Romney is a concern. Once
again, Jones displays rank ignorance of the total ramifications
of having a Mormon as President.
Asked whether Romney?s religion was a stumbling block for
him, Jones replied, 'What is the
alternative, Hillary's lack of religion or an erroneous religion?'
"
The reality is far different. Hillary is a follower of the
occult religion while Mitt Romney is a
follower of a Masonically-based, occult religion, the founders
of which were both 33rd Masons!
Now, let us return to these sad statements from Dr. Jones
III:
" 'As a Christian I am completely opposed to the doctrines
of Mormonism', he said. 'But I'm not
voting for a preacher. I'm voting for a president. It boils down
to who can best represent
conservative American beliefs, not religious beliefs'."
I find it incomprehensible that a man as learned as Dr. Jones
III could attempt to separate
"conservative American beliefs" and "religious
beliefs"! Why, every professor worth his salt will
tell you that a nation crafts its laws based upon its religion!
In America, Christian values have
always held sway within our culture. Biblical values have always
been the foundation for our laws.
For Example:
* Conservatives uphold the American legal prohibition upon
murder -- Upon which foundation did
this belief originate? The Bible
* Conservatives have long supported the legal prohibition
on giving and accepting bribes -- Upon
which foundation did this belief originate? The Bible
* Conservatives have long supported the legal controls on
sex outside marriage, especially the
laws against prostitution -- Upon which foundation did this belief
originate? The Bible
We could go on and on giving more examples, but you get the
point. You cannot separate the
fundamental religion of the nation from its national beliefs.
National beliefs are based upon that
nation's religion. Dr. Jones is sadly way off the mark.
Finally, were Mitt Romney elected President, he would bring
great honor and acceptability upon the
Mormon religion. White House resources and Madison Avenue skills
could be brought to bear on the
task of making Mormonism mainstream. Untold millions of people
could conceivably be persuaded
toward Mormonism.
Cutting Edge has long held that only Christian leaders could
open the door to Antichrist Listen as
the Apostle Paul explains that the "Day of the Lord"
had not come yet, as many believers had
falsely been told.
"Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that
day will not come except the apostasy
comes first, unless the predicted great falling away of those
who have professed to be Christians
has come, and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is
the son of doom of perdition." (2
Thessalonians 2:3; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary).
Only Christian leaders can open the door to Antichrist! And,
how do they do that? They open this
door because of falsely leading Christians astray. While Bob
Jones University is still holding the
line pretty well in its training of Christian young people, this
incredible religious error in
backing a Mormon for President is aiding in the apostasy which
is currently rampant in America
today.
Former Satanist, Bill Schnoebelen, who is the author of both
these resources on Mormonism, wrote a
very insightful article for Cutting Edge just weeks ago. It is
NEWS2226, "Republican Mitt Romney
and the Prophetic 'Mormon Plan for America"
After reading this article, you will understand how critically
important to the Mormons is
Romney's candidacy at this time in American history. You can
further appreciate how critcally
wrong it is for Chancellor Bob Jones III to back this candidacy!
P.S. I write this with heavy heart, because my son is a Bob
Jones graduate, majoring in Pastoral
Studies. |
