Hallo Zimbabwe, Africa

Zimbabwe is between South Africa and Zambia, 50% Christian [1.8 million living with AIDS 24.6% of the population (2001 est.)]. The UK annexed Southern Rhodesia from the South Africa Company in 1923. A 1961 constitution was formulated that favored whites in power. In 1965 the government unilaterally declared its independence, but the UK did not recognize the act and demanded more complete voting rights for the black African majority in the country (then called Rhodesia). UN sanctions and a guerrilla uprising finally led to free elections in 1979 and independence (as Zimbabwe) in 1980. Robert MUGABE, the nation's first prime minister, has been the country's only ruler (as president since 1987) and has dominated the country's political system since independence. His chaotic land redistribution campaign begun in 2000 caused an exodus of white farmers, crippled the economy, and ushered in widespread shortages of basic commodities. Ignoring international condemnation, MUGABE rigged the 2002 presidential election to ensure his reelection. Opposition and labor groups launched general strikes in 2003 to pressure MUGABE to retire early; security forces continued their brutal repression of regime opponents.

Dear Ones,

We kindly request Books, Study Bibles, Dictionaries, Directories, Commentaries, Bible Hand Books, HistoricalBooks, Theological Books , Any Christian encyclopedia, Videos Audios and any helpful Books to use in our church library which is designed to train lay people for the work of ministry and leadership responsibilities.

We are building a Library which is a centre of study for pastors, lay leaders, cell leaders, sunday school teachers etc.

This library is a continuing education of a christian worker as we believe that , the training of a preacher is a life-long process and we also believe that when a preacher is at work he should feel that his life of study has begun.

Our library helps pastors with allowing them to borrow books for two weeks and when they return after two weeks they are allowed to borrow some, 90% of christian workers in our town do not have their libraries even any helpful books to study.

Our Goals is :
- to encourage ministers that ,from the beginning of their ministry , they ought to set aside certain hours every day for study, and must ponder what they reads until it becames a part of their awn thought.

- to equip people called for ministry for quality leadership development by imparting upon them ethical values as well.

- to enable them to set up their goals and prepared to nurture converts through an effective follow up programe, leading to their ultimate involvement in the church.

In conclusion we are inneed of the above requested resources in order to acheive the above goals, even the used books are appreciated.

Our library is open to the above mentioned Christian workers for them to dig into God's word in-depth study.

Thank you for your advance response.
