Our Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
We are bringing earthquake victims to your attention in the Islamabad vicinity in Pakistan and India where many lost their lives recently. The count is 90,000 (est). which means many relatives, husbands, wives and children have lost those they dearly love. Many are shivering in the cold waiting for help in the wind and rain.

Father we pray that you will inspire leaders of other countries to do their best to bring needed helicopters to rescue those who have no way of getting out of their devastated areas, to bring food, and shelter for those who are stranded without means to take care of themselves.

We pray you will send your angels to tend to those thousands who were injured. Father there will be many opportunities to witness to Muslims by Christians in this relief effort and I pray that the Christians will have the courage and boldness to tell them of You and what a glorious future they could have if they chose You, the only God in the universe, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, who are One God.

Without the Holy Ghost humans cannot go to Heaven. Muslims do not know that. They do not believe in the Holy Spirit. Neither do Muslims know that Jesus has the Melchizedek Priesthood which offers eternal life in Heaven. Nobody else has that Priesthood. Jesus is also resurrected and sitting today at Your right hand Father. He came back to earth after He was crucified for forty days to prove to His disciples that He still had a body of flesh and bones and could even eat with them. Muslims do not have anyone who resurrected already to prove to them that there is such a thing as life after death.

Father, Muslims have been lied to just as Mormons, Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. are being lied to and they need to know the truth. To turn that around Father, they need to know that all they have to do is repent of their past just as many Muslims have done already and receive from Jesus the Holy Spirit in their hearts to help them study the Holy Bible (kjv) so they can put on the new man, the born again man, and learn to put on the whole armour of God described in the Book of Ephesians.

Plant a strong desire in their hearts to learn of You instead of Allah, so they can have the opportunity to accept the gift of faith in You as their Lord and Savior like we have. Put them into repentance like You did me to make them realize how they have sinned against Your Precious Son Christ Jesus, Who willingly allowed men to nail Him to the cross to die for all our sins once and for all. They will repent when You heal their blind conditon so they can see that they have offended the God of this universe and that He is willing to forgive them if they come to Him and ask for forgiveness and take on the name of Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Muslims don't realize they have little protection from Allah because he is not almighty God unbeknownst to them. Father they need to know the truth so all the useless bloodshed can stop.

Father open up the Muslim world to Your Word, the Bible, so they can try it and find that it is the truth and it is the only lifestyle that truly works to benefit their lives and sets new goals for eternal life with a glorious God who is just and loving and waiting to make us His family. There is no other teaching that promises forgiveness and peace forever because there is no other who delivered God Himself to the cross to die for sinners worldwide. Father have mercy on human beings, your creation in the coming days that will grow more horrific with time due to the evil grip the world is in because of those who know the truth and refuse to repent. Father we pray this prayer in Your Son's name, Amen .

Pakistan earthquake aid pledges exceed target

ZEESHAN HAIDER IN ISLAMABAD

INTERNATIONAL pledges for billions of dollars in extra aid to rebuild the lives of millions of destitute survivors of the Pakistan earthquake have exceeded the target needed, it was announced yesterday.

"The rough total we have as of now is $5.4bn," Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said at an international donors conference in Islamabad.

The sum is more than the aim of $5.2bn for recovery and reconstruction in the mountainous quake zone where a new disaster threatens as winter sets in.

Pakistan had been around $3bn short of what it needs to rebuild houses, schools, hospitals, water and energy supplies, roads and civic administration...

Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf praised traditional rival India for its help and appealed to it to seize the opportunity the quake had given the two countries to resolve their dispute over Kashmir, the region hardest hit by the tremor.
